Smoke is potent according to my personal sensitivity. Get me a good head and a bit of body high. It's like whole world have turned postive again, literally. lol
If the smoke was good then keep going.

Why did you mc to start with. Were they gifts or did you have problems with a plant or ? . And also the later in flower that you took the clone the more difficult they can be.

lol

I did started regular clones (would be my first clones too). They started healthy and looking nice and thought I could fertilize them after 2 weeks, mind you was a weak nute, the next day they all died.

So, in essence I'm forced to try mc or start from seeds again.

Okay if you look at it from a time stand point only . From seed your 6-8 weeks before flowering . From where you are with the MC do you think that it's going to take that long before you can flower ?
IDK the answer but I think if you keep going it will be sooner . How ever if you're using bag seed and they didn't cost anything then you have nothing to loose go ahead and start some . 50/50 chance seeds are going to be male , start extras. When the seeds are ready to flip you can make your choices on which to keep . And if that ain't your situation then ....... you just have to go what's best for you .

Best of luck .

PS have you potted up the MC clones ?

I started the clones in 2" rockwool and have transplanted them into 4" rockwool or buried the 2" in 4" since the roots have started to grow then later on i'll bury the 4" in a container full of hydroton...thats the plan.

I have never used rock wool . So I can't help there.

It's been about a month now, so I thought I'm going to update this thread on what the plants look like and what I think about monster cropping.

The plant is turning to be very bushy with branches all over the place. Any node will have a branch/shoot actively growing, even branches have branches/shoot growing. Most of the initial branches sprouted from where the cluster of flower was. So it might make sense to cut off any big flower clusters when cloning since it takes a long time to convert that area from producing flowers to producing branches.

Plant seems to like stretching more than the regular clone or grown from seeds, even if it's close to the light. Stem and branches "appears" to be weak by appearance due to long nodes but sturdy to the touch or some pressure applied to it. Leaves are huge, some are bigger than my palm.

Looks like it gonna need some creative pruning when it's ready for flowering.

Overall, I'm still 50/50 as to using monster cropping as the method for cloning due to time. Maybe as a last resort to preserve a strain. We'll see about yield in the near future.

Sativa seems to work really well with mc, Indica on the other hand takes more time to come back to normal.

Pics will follow

Pic update, just pardon my mess. lol

Week 1 of 12/12. Pruned a lot of small branches but still a very bushy plant. I might prune it some more at the 3rd week of 12/12. So far I like the flowering structure, early to say, but it looks like some nice bud sites developing. It's also just a little over 3 ft tall.

Close-up pic of bud site...vigorous flowering for 1 week of 12/12

How did this Monster Cropping go? Should be nearing the end of flowering.
Yes probably another 3 weeks.

Due to hurricane Irma, I lost power for 5 days, and plants start to show root problem after that. 3 plants died and I think I'm able to save the remaining 5, including the ones that were monster cropped but the flowering got delayed in my estimate for about 3 weeks.

These are the monster cropped plants last week pics
