Monster Cropping

I have 4 clones from flowering plants aka monster cropping. It's been 5 weeks now since I've started it. all four have rooted and revegging but so far its just those weird smooth looking leaves and no sign of regular growth yet.

I'm starting to get impatience about this monster cropping thing and thinking of going back to seeds.

How long are the monster clones going to start to show regular/normal growth? Is it even worth it? What's your take on monster cropping?

Thanks

I had the same experience as you , but the genetics I saved was worth it . And that is the only time I think it's worth it .

At this point you can probably be ahead to just stay the course.

My 2cents

Didn't think of about saving the strain. True, that would make it worth it, specially if that's the only clone you have for that specific strain. Mine is from a bagseed.

Just kinda frustrating watching it grow. I might give it shot but after this, never again with monster cropping

Doing this style it almost always takes a really long time for them to get normal growth again.. It's the usual. There's probably some tricks like feeding certain nutrient ratios of something to make it happen faster, but I never figured it out, always takes a long ass time to be normal again.

lol

I dont know man, we must be crazy for doing this but there's always the first time. Which mean, to get a nice bushy plant before switching would take about 3 months give or take a couple of weeks?

Usually the reveged flower plants like what you're doin there end up being crazy bshy monsters with tons of heads. So my first thought, and suggerstion for you is, give that plant when it's ready later on, some bigass root space, like big pot etc.. can be monsterous.

Its like leaves growing on top of another leaf. I understand that these nodes would eventually produce branches but man I'm losing patience

When it does take off it most likely will be very bushy . I did a blue dream and the resulting plant was awesome .

I don't know if bag seed is worth it but it already sexually mature. So when you get to where your ready to flip it will be ahead of schedule by a little. What light schedule are you using.

just the regular 12/12. Interesting part too, it still has some white pistils. Clones are from lower branches that has small flowers but it still keeping some of the white pistils though its in a 16/8 schedule.

I put mine on 24/0 first week
20/4 week 2-4
18/6 weeks 4-6

12-12 for flowering and I also started new seeds as soon as I took the clone flowered everything at once .

thought it might stress the clones if i put it into longer light on schedule. I actually started with 5 clones, all of them rooted but one of them immediately hermied. It started to show bananas in every node, could just be the strain that couldn't handle the light schedule. knock on wood but so far the other 4 haven't show sign of hermies.

So which is it. 12/12 or 16/8? If you are running 12/12, that's why you haven't made any reveg progress.

I ain't no expert and I'm not saying you did anything wrong. I just looked at it the same as any other clone , it was a slow process though .

I did use lower wattage till I had good roots , and I should have said that until the roots showed up I didn't start counting the vegg clock .

no, no... i thought bareback is asking what my flip light schedule is (which actually confuses me). the clones are currently under 16/8 schedule
