Monster Cropping Increasing Yield

I did this purely by accident as well, but now have 3 super bushy Chemdawg plants that are looking great. Also a Blackberry plant that I was given started doing this same thing. It used to be a 1 ft tall flowering plant, now after reverting to veg its a 5 foot tall bush with more tops than I could count. If you have the time to experiment with this, I would recommend it. Not sure if the yield will be better though, as I may just end up with tons of small buds instead of long colas. We'll see though. Good luck with your Monster Cropping man hope everything goes well :)

i think reveg is different then what were talkin about. but if you mean monstercropping then lollipopping ....yes this can be one. i dont do this cuz i top mine after they grow a few nodes.

Yep I think I might do this technique and then put them under fluoros to reveg. I will see if the shorter internode lengths from growing under fluoros combined with monster cropping will create the freak plant I am after.

†orgasms and shivers† my god, that may just be the most beautiful thing I have ever seen before in my entire fucking life, I'm in love... damn shame you can't throw auto clones back into veg, but I plan on trying this with my full moon and bubblicious that I just started up. My god, just looking at all those branches....feral was a fucking genius, the Einstein of the cannabis culture...we must dedicate unto him/her a holiday to be acknowledged and celebrated by all....NO, SERIOUSLY, who do I talk to at rui?! †LOL†

now let me ask you this, I'm an indoor grower, considering the turn around it takes, would I be better of topping my mother? It seems to me, while its results aren't as gorgeous as seeing that many branches, it also seems to have a dramaticly shorter recovery rate....

I'm still going to have to try this with about 5 clones of each and give them a 2 x 4ft t8 2 bulbs so it doesn't interfere much with my production, it'll be a side project in other words... :)

Here is a Pic of my lastest. It wasnt a cutting from a flowering plant but it was a flowering plant that went back into the reveggatation stage. Hope you dont mind..

Can you spot it? haha its pretty obvious..hottuy 006.jpg

Here are some close ups. It started growing very strange sprial leaves and large single blade leaves.hottuy 001.jpghottuy 008.jpg

Here just like the monster cropping you can see these very thick branches from the main stem that produce many node sites.

my god that looked beautiful...for those of us who use leaves to roll, I would be happy if the yield is the same...what was the yield comparison?

Hey man great thread! I've done this, but didn't realize it was called 'monster cropping' lol. The reason I did this, is to create a MASSIVE mother plant that I could rape for clones..... And I did! Lol, here's a pic of what happened for me!...

~First 2 pix are the day of cutting.
~Next 2 pix are 21 days later after rooting and being transplanted.
~The next 2 pix are 16 days after that.
~The next 2 pix are 10 days later, after I had just finished taking 15 clones off her.
~The next pix is right before the chop.
~And the last 2 are of her stem.

I've got another one doing the same ATM. Monster Cropping is the shit!

Great article.. I have experienced the same phenomenon in early summer (43deg. lat.) after hardening off plants for the season. Some strains would begin to push out flowers as if it were fall and shortly after revert back into veg. It was odd when I first saw this but all of the plants affected bounced back and reverted to vegetating after a couple week s of slow growth. These plants then produce heavy yields for their smaller stature. I am experiencing the same thing now!

Anyone have their ladies start to flower in early summer only to re-veg and finish a full cycle???

i love this idea, but it is not a so called super cropping, it is reveging a budded clone thats all. it should be called reveg monsters. i have a freind named rick maughs here in oregonall medical and he is a great guy and great grower he helps people with laws and obtaining cards, he clons off of flowering plants every time cuz he has proved it creates bigger plants with most the time increased yeild, here is his sight if any one is interested. he also has books on how to grow and stuff to.

So thats what it was.

I had a perputial grow going where I took clones and flowered the girls, grew the clones and did it again in 2 months. My deal was the vegging girls would grow too fast in hydro, I needed less time to veg so I started taking clones after a week into flower. then two weeks and three weeks into flower. Then bam! that last run took a while to get going but it branched out like crazy. That was the last run of that strain cause I had enough but thanks man. Now it makes sense.
