Got the last of the pool plumbing done today! Did some vacuuming but I need to get some new parts so I can use my vacuum with my new bigger skimmer and pump.

It got up to 95 degrees here today and it was still 90 at 4:30! Fucking watered 3 times today and they still looked thirsty. It is now 11:30 and it is 69 degrees.

It looks like the main cola on the Micro Clone is dying from the storm damage. Damn - that is the biggest of all of the colas. Growing outdoors is such a crap shoot. I need to just make the investment and go 100% indoor and grow Gardenias and Plumerias outside.

Here are some pics from yesterday.

Hi All,

Started putting the greenhouse together today. Some of the tops are hitting the ceiling and will need to be trained. Looked like it was going to rain today and then the sun came out and cooked the garden. Girls seem to be liking it. The WOG is fading hard now too, except for the broken branch, which is staying green? Picked up a roll of temporary fence to use as a ScrOG on the WOG. The holes are small so I may need to remove some of the webbing. Overworked the back today but I did not fall off of the ladder!

Got the pool cleaned a little more. It is so nice to have the pump and filter back on line :)

Cheers,
Mo

Hi All How is your weekend going?

I put up the plastic (3 mil) to cover the Big Clone from the rain and to keep her dry from all of the dew we are getting with the lower temps. The wind was calm so it looked like it would work.

Had to move some colas that were still too high and touching the plastic.

This worked great until the wind started blowing. The plastic ballooned up and ripped off of each clamp one by one. So now I have the opaque white vinyl top on. No Sun gets through with this cover, so I need to figure out an easy way to peel back the vinyl when the sun is out and slide it back when night falls or inclement weather visits.

Day 176 for the Big Clone and day 172 for the Micro Clone.

No rain yet. The cement was a little wet from some heavy mist but no rain. The Big Clone is safe from the rain and the dew (and sun) because it is covered with a tarp. The WOG is fully exposed to the elements and seems very happy about it.

Saw a bud worm on the WOG yesterday. No poop signs but I need to see if I can spray BT on flowers.

Started smoking an e-cigarette and it is very nice (used it at Disneyland last night). They make yummy flavors like green apple, cherry cola, and now I can get the clove taste without the clove toxins :) Can't wait to figure out how to make an MJ oil the right consistency for this gizmo :)

Got some cool shots today - ENJOY!

You only tied branches to posts for support? We just had the first rain of the season, and a few branches split down the stalk. I gotta up my game, and provide better support for the plant. I'm thinking trellis net.

The branches formed a basket underneath and the pipes supported the basket until I could get a trellis net (or six) on them. Only three of the main branches ripped off of the side. The weird thing is that the branch that ripped the worst turned very green later!

Mo, I am jealous of your garden and outdoor space! Everything looks great, hope those branches recover quickly.

Feeding them less now and watering less because of the cooler temps and dew in the morning. The girls in the ground were getting a good soaking 1 to 2 times a week. The Big Clone in the trashcan was getting watered twice a day.

I trimmed some of the spindly crap off of the Big Clone today and my new scissors rock! Never got bogged down by the resin :) A few of the buds were wetter with a gooey resin and smelled like pineapple!? It never did rain :P I just went out there and it is just starting to mist heavily again. I will have some pics later.

Hi All - I pruned away some scraggle from the Big Clone. There were some flowers on these branches so I gave my new scissors a try. They are unstoppable! Covered in goo and they did not skip a beat. Easy to use and very very sharp.

Hi All - Figured out a way to open and close the tarp easily so now I can give them sun and protect them from the dew and rain! :)

Gave them all water today because I have been holding off expecting rain. It keeps threatening to rain but it is all just hot air.

Turned my pool heater on for the first time this season and it is making the WOG go nuts! CO2 and heat = upright colas and leaves and the buds are swelling! :)

Between nute costs and trim time, I think it is cheaper to buy medicine. However, when you buy it, you do not know what kind of chemicals were used during the grow. I like to have control over my food and medicine. My 300 dollar tomatoes taste great :)

I was hoping the WOG would still be displaying the vigor of last night but the pictures did not show it. I will try a long exposure tonight and see if I can capture her freak :)

The Big Clone is loving the watering and the sun. She has perked back up from the droop she was exhibiting yesterday. Everything seems to be loving the sun today :)

I have piles of brown leaves that have been drying in the sun. The smell is so nostalgic - reminds me of when I started smoking and it was mostly Columbian Gold leaves. I want to grind some up and just smoke a nice leaf joint :)

It is exactly 180 days today that the Big Clone went in the trash can! It is either at 7 or 11 weeks of flowering. I will try and get some magnified shots this weekend to see how the trichs look. I almost want to let her stay in the can and dry in the dirt like the tales of Columbian Gold drying techniques. I added some supplemental soil to the top of the can today to help her retain moisture better so I can back off of the watering more as the nights get cooler. She is giving off more of a scent - a hint of cedar and minty pineapple. Today I got a whiff of grape like the MrGoo had in cure :D

Going to be hot and sunny for the next few days! Enjoy the SoCal sunshine :)

Keep it Dank,
Mo
