thanks for posting the video! was about to do that myself. hopefully something becomes of it.
No problem, trying to get it out there so the proper people will see it. Hopefully some of the LP applicants with a list of lawyers will shoot you a PM...good deeds get paid back in the weirdest ways.

edit: Maybe even contact Peace Naturals to get something done. They have money people on there payroll that can get this fixed swifty. Let them know the media outlets are watching and there name is smack dead in the centre of it.

Call ur local mp, councillor everyone else along the way.
Have you tried norml?
Or any of the larger pro pot groups? Real compassion clubs etc?

I cant believe there isnt a lawyer salivating at the chance of all the media attention it could get.

Personally if it were me id take out a loan if i had to.
Then once u file a suit yourself im sure you will easily pay back the loan.

I would have been at a lawyers office right out of the police station ready to sue the provinces ass off their head.

This is discrimination at it's finest, someone on SSRi's isn't getting kicked out of the park even though they are a fucking zombie.

This is precisely why I want nothing to do with the conservatives system, it's a fucking nazi-esque watchlist.

imo you were in a privately run park, first mistake, second there are kids and families all around.
why didn't you get high in your car? or use a vape of some sort?
just cause your licensed, don't give you the right to freely medicate any were you want!
why didn't you retain lawyer or whomever the first day you were arrested? or have the opp call peace naturals right there.
why didn't your buddy have it so easy? cause he was a none patient with no lic? your friends don't get to cronic out with you just cause you have a lic!
am I missing something more?
sorry for your luck, but not the smartest in my opinion

I think that's why this who thing sound a wee bit off.
Any Lawyer would do this pro bono with what's at stake.:?
I'm not so sure that any lawyer would take this case on pro bono.
I think the top are lawyers are very selective on what they take on. The case would have to meet the lawyer's agenda. For example I know a top lawyer who has taken on a few pro bono cases in the past, but now will only take on an over 5 plant charge with a very specific profile.

In the park near people is not the best idea to be blatant about something this new to everyone. It just wont go over well. Simple shit.
In a car you get charged for impaired...even having keys on you will get you charged.
Freely medicate where we should though....
he should have alawyer
things are missing or the guys is just slow. could be.

exactly... with what seems to be missing. No one would.

Why are you focusing on a human rights case? I think you are putting the cart before the horse. If I am correct the issue here is whether or not you have the legal right to smoke/vape as a medical patient with all the proper documentation. If you have the documentation, there is no human rights case. There is only the cop's unwillingness to accept the documents you provided. That is a right/wrong case. If you provide the court with all your proper documentation, then there should be no problem. If the question is your right to smoke in a designated smoking area on private property - that's a whole other question.

Get a lawyer or call legal aid. You need some real advice from someone with proper legal expertise. Not a bunch of flag-waving from a bunch of nobodies on some internet site.

feeling legal, being legal...and a poor choice of where he executed ....and pushing the point....

Contacted peace naturals at the beginning of all of this. They sent me a letter explaining my dates of validity. Otherwise they said there was nothing else they could do except make someone higher up in management aware. Since then they released a document saying to make sure you have everything you should on you (even though I did and it still happened)

I've contacted my MP and he explained he couldn't do anything about the court case itself but I had a letter sent off to Rona Ambrose in regards to having a better way for patients of the MMPR to identify. Another letter was sent to Peter Mackay in regards to the issue that police have directly told me the MMPR doesnt exist and they were given nothing to update them about "such a serious change in regulations" and because of that. I was lying.
Norml wouldn't be a bad idea. although I don't know of many other CCs or places that could be of assistance.

Cant remember reading it or not earlier in the thread but have you contacted Kirk Tousaw or John Conroy?
I sent Mr. Conroy a message to which I never got a reply and Mr. Tousaw responded to my email but only really spoke about his lawyer fees.

First confrontation was with security in the park. went extremely well - they looked at my documents. radio'd in and watched me finish my joint in the smoking section where I lit it.
Second interaction was outside of the park on the hill away from everyone walking around (I try to be courteous but I do need to medicate at times and there aren't really any options if I need to do it)
I have not retained a lawyer because I do not have the cash to do so. will cost me a couple grand in which I do not have. As for legal aid there are a couple complications that haven't made that option quite available but I'm going to argue and try and get on that so I may have someone represent me. I showed the Security Guards and York Region Police the card given to be by Peace Naturals stating in the case of emergency to call the number and they never called. I called the number myself upon being released asking if they did and I was their only call all night.

I've smoked pot infront of cops, i've heard 1 time of someone in Canada being arrested for smoking a joint, outside of a courthouse and a huge stink was raised. This makes no sense.

Contact Cannabis Culture I am sure they would run your story on the front page.

You shouldn't need legal aid, you should be able to go to/call pretty much any lawyers office and ask if they do pro-Bono work explain your case and they will get paid if they win. You have a case of discrimination on your hands, they are discriminating against you based on a doctor prescribed medicine. This isn't America where it's federally illegal, the feds gave you the weed sue them. They prolly won't want to go after Canada's wonderland because they are private but YRP are liable and owe you for the time you were imprisoned wrongfully, you sue the Government because they didn't provide you with enough proof for police. You say it's entrapment, the government gave you the weed. You have about a million outs, just make sure you're getting paid for getting locked up.

You sure you weren't being one of those confrontational assholes from youtube? the second you raise your voice the slightest decibel they will say it's public intoxication/disturbing the peace and arrest you for that.

maybe the asshat should have been a tad discrete???...you know...in a family park burning with non-licensed friends...this guy is why the real patients have to battle all the time...got a license...great...wanna smoke in front of my grandkids, and you'll eat the joint...guys like this make all of our progress regress...medicate, but use common sense, not everyone who agrees with legalization likes to smell the herb, especially when their children are around......I was smokin' herb in Bagdad while this guy was in Dad'sbag...never been busted for herb...yep...thats 40+ years...just my .02 on what I suspect is a bogus license

mojo...maybe a tad harsh...but better to speak directly than "dance" the message

Patients should be able to medicate where ever they can.
He said he was outside the park away from the general population. Either way arresting him is a bit much.
With all the fukin hoops we have to jump through to get the documentation and then the meds the cops should hold out a lighter for you.
Email a nice professional story explaining the entire ordeal to norml and to all the pot magazines. All the local papers and news stations.
Somone from norml should be able to point you in the direction of a probono lawyer.
Id also call the human right of canada and explain the situation they will open a file for sure.
The more people u can get on your side the better.
