I am currently fighting an eviction from my apartment for "illegal drug activity". i have had leo to the premises and everything has been certified legit. I know it is a long shot but I am looking for a MMJ friendly landlord in the jackson, MI are ASAP, so if anyone knows of any information I would greatly appreciate it.

You are not going to find one...For their own protection they have to plead ignorance simply because if you get arrested and they knew about it they can lose the property to the gov....be like me find a place with a big lot and a landlord that kinda let the house get a little rundown.... So you know they will never be around ..... tell the land lord you had problems with neighbors and breakins and are looking forward to some peace and quiet ....

you need to look at foreclosures and land contracts, buying is a lot cheaper then renting right now. My friend just bought a nice house for 2500 down 300$ a month and he is going half on it with a roomate, 4 bedroom house on land and only 10 years of payments

ok thanks for the advice guys. i was not clear depending on how much time we win or don't might have time to look in to buying. im working with just under 10000$ cash and no credit though. lol at bryon209 i thought i found a ll like that last go around and it worked out terrible. fine at first till we had honeybees coming in to our infants room and it was completely unusable and the guy didn't give a shit. we formally withheld rent for 2 months i think and he still didn't take care of the problem. our son got stung in his lip and we ended up moving and he terminated the lease if we agreed not to sue him.

i agree land contracts ftw BUT you can in fact find mmj friendly renters. another thing to look into is grow rooms for rent. they have em out here as low as 500 a month.

I have a landlord who is a caregiver himself, so no problems here :) he owns like 30 houses in the adrian area, nothing in jackson though.

waste of money renting man, if you really have just under 10k you can be in your own house in short time and have low payments for something that is really nice even with bad credit, If you have a big down payment a lot of people will work with you, its just money in their pocket if you dont follow thru anyway. I bought a house with bad credit while I was unemployed. Anyway, really think you should consider land contracts but its your call. The market has really changed a lot recently.

Hey deprave, you know of any real estate clubs or places I can go where I can try to find investors thats willing to work with buyers that want to buy under a LC?
I know I could go to an agent but im sure he is going to try and get a cut for finding a deal. Im trying to get a LC on a house between 10-20k.

If you have 10k definatley use that as downpayment and you will be able to find a nice house.

Now is the time to buy.

I am not trying to be a jerk, but growing with your child, you know you could loose him/her to protective services. It would really suck, is it worth it.

I suggest joining a local MMJ club and keep your ears open. Keep it to yourself outside of that. What they don't know, they don't know.
