Mixing nutrients

Hey I use the 3-part humbolt grow, micro, and bloom. I was using AquaShield with the botanicare stuff but I was wondering if I could use AquaShield with the nutrients i'm using now? I'm using grotek pro-silica right now, too. Would I have to substitute anything for the aquashield or can I just add it in with it? Or what?

I use Advanced Nutrients for my MMJ and I would NEVER mix it up with other nutrients from other lineups. Why not? Well, let's think about this for a second.

You're growing plants that need certain nutrients, right? And when a company designs a lineup, they design it to work together with the other products. If you throw something else from some other company into the mix, you don't know what's going to happen because the nutrients weren't designed to work that way.

And if you DO have a problem (hint: you will), you'll find out quickly that neither nutrient company can help you because THEY DIDN'T MAKE THE OTHER NUTE. Seriously folks, find something that works and stick with it. You are going to be taking advantage of the research the company has put into the development of their products.

Mixing things up isn't a good idea. Ever.

It's not like mixing up brands of shampoo and conditioner. You're trying to grow living things.

That's a good way to put it, especially since 3 of my plants just died and I have no idea why. Maybe cause I put 20ml Aquashield in with my humbolt nutrients.. :o

Thanks for the reply.

and yes you can add bennies to a 3 part line... Mixing base nutrient brands are a different story.
Sweet thanks for telling me that. Okay well I guess they're not dead, I flushed them to see what would happen and the leaves are coming back up, so.. IDK what happened I'm just leaving straight fresh water for a couple days
