Mixing 6500K and 2700K during each phase. Mistake?

Since I'll be using multiple cfl's anyway, would it make any sense to toss in a couple 2700Ks during veg, and a couple 6500Ks during flower?

I also have a T5 going, with strictly 6500k veg, and 2700k flower.

But, is there any advantage for doing so? Otherwise, I'll just stick with the spectra that I'm supposed to use.
I'm using these 200 watt duel spectrum lights, there are sweet... I put 4 of these on her ass, she loves it.. checkem out. Over a inch a day growth easy.. These lights are burly 15 inches long and 8 inches wide..

Wow, those look crazy! Do you use those during one specific phase, or throughout the grow?
In Flower, but you can use them in veg to. Ever notice on a cloudy day you get the same growth as on a sunny day.. I think its the spectrum the Sun is putting out not just the brightness of the rays of the Sun.. But IDK for sure just what I experienced myself Ya these lights are tight..There 78 a bucks per light. just PM me if you need more info,,

Where can be 2700Ks bought online? I searched in my town but I couldt find it anywhere, so my only solution is to buy it online.
And yes, there is now problem if you mix 2700ks and 6500ks

i never use 6500 for flower ONLY 2700's its the fall spectrum, i've been told 6500 is like a may sun.. 2700 is a september sun.. ... here is a pic of my girl flowering under just 2700k at 30 days i've never flowered with anythign else, so i have nothing to compare it to.

i use a mix throughout but more 27k about a 4 to 1 ratioto 5500 and 6500 cuz evn tho its the fall sum it still gives out 65k so if uhave more spectrums of light mimic the sun better and more light bigger buds denser

No one light can replicate the light produced by the sun. Each light is created to produce a specific spectrum of light whereas the sun produces the full spectrum of light both visible and not. So to say that one color light reproduces the light of the sun from different times of the year is completely off. If anything was true u could say that the sun's spectrum changes as it sets each day not stays the same the entire day for each season.

I know the Sun puts out some spectrums... the cloudiest day of the year plants still thrive like there was not a cloud in the sky.. I think mixing lights up makes a lot of sense..

i just used all the cfl's i could get my hands on, the only ones i know are 2700k are my 55 watt.. got 3 of em, i used the same cfls with veg and flower

you can see one is blue(white) the other is red(orange) which is the different times of the sun whether its morning and afternoon or June or September.. that is just what i've heard and read i'm not saying you are replicating it.. that would be impossible... ..... but as you can see from my pic.. 2700k's work pretty darn good for me during flowering. that is at 30 days and looks like its at about 50.

  • For Vegetation you will want to use 6500K or 5000K, and when you flower you will want to switch to 2700K or 3000K . The reason being, throughout the year the plant’s outside receive more 6500K light because the day’s in summer are long and hot and as Autumn/Winter get’s closer the day get’s shorter, and gradually receives less 6500K light and more 2700K light as the plant flower’s. Do what you can to avoid bulbs within that 3500K – 4000K because they emit very little light that Is useful to your plant. Notice here the difference between the CT of these lamp’s "

Question does keeping a little bit of 6500 k when flowering increase the quality of it , Like the same concept as growers who replace thier hps bulbs two weeks before harvest to increase the potency . I know that if you go pure 2700 k that you`ll most likely get the best yield and nice non leafy bud , but will changing one quarter of your lights to 6500k increase the resin production and thc ? . Asking because i have that ratio in my grow . In my experiences the 4000 k works awesome for vegging but yeh i know it casts mostly useless white and yellow light but hell a 26 watt 4000k worked awesome for me for 3 plants vegging till like 2-3 weeks into my grow.

i really don't know for sure.. never did that always use 2700 with no complaints so why change a good thing? I've heard both ways.. some that its good.. some say don't do it. i may try it and see if there is a difference. but i'll need to build a seperate flowering box to do it. lol

Like many of the topics so many different opinions guess the only way to find out is too grow what about red and a few of those reptile uv cfl`s i reckon that could work very well for quantity and quality .
