Michigan: can i sell to a licensed grow facility?

first, let me say I don't plan on doing anything illegal also I should mention that I am not a caregiver. a friend told me about a grow facility that will buy my excess weed so I called the guy and he said he would pay me $1800-$2200 a lb after testing and selling it to a dispensary so around three weeks. I talked to the guy for a while and everything he tells me sounds legit including the address he gave me which brings up a Michigan Lara certified grow facility. the guy tells me that it is legal to sell my excess weed to them and that it was meant to work this way so excess weed doesn't end up on the black market. he tells me that my weed will be barcoded entered into LARA's database tested then sold. I for the life of me can not find any info online to corroborate his claims of its legality. if anybody out there knows how Michigans marijuana system works please let me know if I am legally safe to do business with this guy?

I understand that technically if he was a cop this would be classified as entrapment as he has stated a few times to me that it is legal what we would be doing.

i am a very cautious person and didn't plan on selling any of my weed until a friend told me about the guy. I have 3 lbs more than what I need to last me and for gifts. I honestly hope this is legal as this could pay off my student debt and put cash in my pocket.

Pretty sure you need to be a licensed caregiver or grower.

Check with the goons at LARA's Enforcement Division to be sure.

Im not from michigan, but it sounds super shady. Not sure how entrapment would apply if you contacted him looking to get rid of what is more than you can legally have. Unless 10 oz isnt the limit anymore.....

The regulatory agencies have regs regarding how the cannabis is grown. It cannot be legal to do what you suggest.

10oz is the limit for purchased weed, what you grow is not counted against the 10oz limit. this was part of the laws to prevent someone from being put in jail because their legal 12 plants grew to much.

they haven't regulated how you grow yet but they track the plant from a sapling, harvest to the dispensary. you might be right about it being illegal but until I can get a definitive answer i'll just have to wait and hope someone here knows Michigans marijuana laws as I'm not going to do anything until I am certain. I might try calling another grow facility and see what they say.
