heres a topic for the spirituality forum. how many of u guys watched the matrix trio in a spiritual way? i know alot of folks who were really let down by the second and especially third movies, but they were honestly better than the first, imo. i almost find it sad that so many ppl overlooked the deeper meanings of the story. "the last movie was gay. it didnt even have an ending man"

yes.. I liked the movies very much.. great metaphor/explanation of the puppetry explained in the Bhagavad gita... THE SLEEPING MASSES...

How about "stranger than fiction" with will ferrel.. that is the definition of meditation... a man becomes aware of his inner dialogue and chooses to FACE it head ON..

amazing movie.. goes over most peoples head .. cause they think THEY are THEIR/THE dialogue.. ahahahahahahah

or how about.. " i heart the huckabees" another great FINGER POINTING movie.. pointing right at the truth!!

I was disappointed by the second and third movies for my own reasons.

I think I have come about a more spiritual understand of them since I last saw them (like 4 years ago) so maybe its time to revisit them and revamp my official opinion of them. I have been trying to see more into them through a more thorough review of the first film (my ex's 13yo nephew watched it every freakin day for months with me). I may post later with more commentary about the actual movie itself.

But if this line of thinking inspires you get your hands on a copy of the OLD mage gamebooks. Mage: the Ascension is the original white wolf publication however they're no longer in print in leiu of white wolf's new version of Mage: the Awakening. Still slightly similar...but i think they hit to many truths in the Ascension and decided to couch it with some more bullshit in the Awakening

Often when ONE speaks.. people look for the point and miss the messgae...

An example...

-------

"He he knows, does not speak" - lao tzu

"Well, then why did you write a book of 5,000 words? blabber mouth"
- critic

"I am pointing at the moon and you are staring at my finger"
- lao tzu

It is like Meditation...

Meditation is nothing more than watching the mind.. any thing else said about IT is "staring at the finger"....

It is like the matrix.. it is pointing at something that cannot be SEEN and yet it points RIGHT at it.....

as does "Stranger than fiction" and "I heart the huckabees"

POINTING.. right at IT.. these movies are road signs.... but people ONLY see plots, and characters, and agendas.. blah blah blah.. LOL

There is nothing wrong with plots and agendas and characters..

i <3 huckabees is great, fell in love with it. and jon brions music is wonderful.

i get the moon thing now, love it. its funny how ppl go about trying to understand things. i had a hard time studying when i was in school. i would read something and try to will myself into holding the info. like instead of simply reading and understanding an idea, i would strain myself to memorize the words on the page.

its kinda rough how ppl run into this problem, if somebody feels really passionate about learning something, they may overthink the situation. they miss the point, get more frustrated, and try even harder. instead of just allowing the process to happen.

I think star wars was alot closer than the matrix to describe the idea of all powerfull invisible force aka dao and the ways of using it...actually using the force is like surfing a wave, does a man uses the wave or does the wave pushes the man?

the matrix doesnt really attempt to describe an all-powerful force, it just as often attacks the idea of one. the indian program in the subway refers to karma, and 'the source' is referred to several times throughout the series, but the merovingian and the architect both have the audience question the existence of choice/power.

i think this is an important idea that more ppl need to think about on a daily basis.

CHOICE IS AN ILLUSION

in I <3 Huckabees, the idea of universal connectivity is referred to as "the blanket thing" because the idea is first described with the visual aid of a sheet. later on in the movie its obvious that the use of the word "blanket" is used to send an image of security, being that somebody can disconnect themselves from the severity of any situation by accepting that the outcome is irrelevant to in the "big picture."

but just because something makes u feel secure doesnt mean ur giving in to a sugar-coated delusion.
