Methods of CO2

Hello,

I have 8'x4'x4' setup and looking for a cheap O2 supply for the flowering stage (which will only be 4x4x4 of that box, its seperated in the middle). I've been reading about home made vinigar and backing soda stuff and then I see a Co2 generator grow kit on ebay which looks like it makes it from sugar. Is there any easy cheap homemade setup (cheap as in less than 40$) to realease C02? I saw there's pellets you can drop into water at the hydro store by they are 70$ for like 10 months supply.

Thanks

Vinegar and backing soda does work.
But once it stops fizzing the CO2 production stops with it. So its a quick flash.

The sugar/yeast in water also works. And produces for for a week or two.
But its a slow, small amount of CO2. A 3 gal bucket for your space might work. Doubt you would hit the 1500ppm

There is the propane CO2 generators. I'm just leary leaving the house with it burning.

The pellets? Is that the 'CO2 Boost bucket'? $70 for 10 months doesn't sound horrible.

i was looking into the co2 boost bucket its 120 for the bucket which will last 1 grow then its a 100 to refill the bucket. i think best bet is pick up a 20lb can at a welding supply shop, thats what bigbud told me to do and i checked it out. they are like 170 bucks and 18 to refill.

You should be able to buy the bottle outright for less then $170. About $100. Keep in mind, when you refill, its a bottle exchange. (the plus to this is that then the gas company is responsible for the hydrostatic testing of the bottles.)

so when you mix baking soda and vinegar carbon dioxide is released??? also can you mist the leaves with sparkling water and if so how much do you put in there like spray the soda on the leaves or put a little bit in some water???

Yup. Don't you remeber that science class in grade 8 where they mixed enough of the vineger with baking soda to put out the candle?

BTW since this thread started I've tried the yeast and sugar method and didn't see any results, just a mess(knocked one over, they are not fun to clean up). So I've given up on C02. I'm sure it increasing the ammount of yeild but it dosn't increase quality.

that DIY shit is pointless. if you cant raise the level of CO2 at a steady consistent rate then it's literally pointless. you can't tell how many particles your releasing in the air at any given point in time. you also dont know how quick it will leak out the room. i got my tank for 200 regulator for 200 if you really don't want to waste your time trying bullshit which wont make any type of significant difference spend the money
