Methadone, drug test.

So I am on methadone, I have to piss every week just so they know I'm clean, I would still get the methadone, just wouldn't get a "carry" which is take home dose. Any ways. I have a question about pee and if it would stay good if anyone knows or has any good ideas. My problem isn't that I need clean pee, my problem is I have a major anxiety issue when it comes to pissing in public, don't ask me why, just do, hate it with a passion. And in the clinic, the room you pee in is right next to the waiting room and this makes me uncomfortable a lot of the time, there has been multiple occasions where I have had to leave and come back 3 or 4 times drinking a gallon of water each time I left, and still had issues was there for 2 hours this past week. So I have come to the conclusion that I am going to get a big syringe for hydroponics with a piece of tubing attached and tape or something similar to my you know. Only reason for this is because they do have a camera so I have to make it look like I'm peeing, So I would be using my own pee, it could even be like 30 mins old. Just how do I keep it warm until I get there? And I am right to think the pee would be perfectly fine just staying warm for 30 mins right? no need to worry about it breaking down or anything? thanks in advance to any info you guys give!

i had the same issues pee'ing in public, or being watched like you do..
how i got around it at first, was to talk to who ever was standing there monitoring me.. doesn't matter what you're talking about, the whole object is to simply get your mind off of the task at hand.. the harder i tried to pee, the harder it was for me to do so.. so, i found that by taking my mind off of the duty at hand, i was much better able to relax, and the pee just seemed to flow out..
another thing that helped me was not going first thing in the morning.. on days i know that i'm going to the clinic, i'll wake up and not pee at all until i get there... i've been going for about 15 years now, and pee'ing has gotten much easier for me in that time, so i no longer and shoot the breeze with the monitor, but i sure as shit still won't pee when i wake up on days i know i'm going to have to give an ua.. just avoid bumpy roads on the drive there, lol..
hopefully that helps as i feel your pain and have been down the same road..

Anxiety is rough because you will go through way worse or more extravagant ways to get things done Due to your irrational fears

I would say you're over doing it and you're allowing your anxiety to control your life by taking this many steps to pee on public

I fully understand anxiety as I used to be a sufferer myself and I fully understand how you feel about using public restrooms

But you need to know that as anxiety sufferers we will go through the upmost pain in the ass ways of doing things and ultimately were doing nothing but enabling our anxiety if we continue to do this

Can you turn on the water faucets and try peeing ? So no one outside the door hears you

Or can you speak to the medical staff about your anxiety they should be medically trained people who have taken educational courses on mental health problems they may have another washroom for you or get appointment times less crowded

Do you see someone for your anxiety like a therapist ? Ask them to try and do some Cognitive behavioural therapy with you so you can start using the public bathroom or some other coping mechanisms

This is exactly what I do. I will stay up late the night before because mine is in the afternoon, wake up just before I leave, and make sure I had drank a lot before going to sleep, usually works like a charm, but sometimes I wake up hours before with a pain cuz I have to pee so bad, so I go, and that's when I have issues when I get back up and go to the clinic. No body is literally standing there watching, I'm not going to yell to someone that's outside the room haha! The times I have the worst time going is when its really busy and there is someone behind me, I don't go right away and then my brain starts going, this guys gunna think I'm an idiot taking forever and then walk out with an empty cup gahh that's when its the worst. The thing with just waking up works well, I still may get a syringe, keep it handy just in case, if I can't go, go off to another washroom somewhere with some cup of some sort, pee in it, suck up in syringe, head back to clinic. just have it as a back up.

I have talked to them at the clinic they are well aware, all they tell me is "sorry it's part of the program there is nothing we can do about it" There isn't a sink in the washroom, the sink is outside in between the men and womens washroom. They don't have sinks so you can't fill your cup up with water? idk but they don't have sinks in the washroom, and the toilet has blue water in it, so I assume its something to do with filling up your cup.

my place used to have someone who watched, but they don't anymore..
the best thing i've found to work is just to relax like i said earlier.. the harder i sit there and say, holy shit, i have to pee in this little cup, the harder it was for me.. just standing there trying to go, if it i just sat there and thought about trying to pee, the harder it got for me.. that's when i got into talking to the monitor as it took my mind off of trying to pee so bad, lol..
i'm lucky enough that i can go to the clinic pretty much after i wake up though.. it takes time, i know exactly what you're talking about though for sure.. was one of the hardest things for me to overcome, but now i'm in and out, and i'm lucky if i even make it to the bathroom first, i kid, i kid..
hope that helps out some.. that's about all i got. just try to relax, and forget about the next person in line and forgot about trying to concentrate on peeing in the cup.. it's the most natural thing in the world, just try and keep it that way and i think you'll be fine..
i'd hate for you to do something stupid and got popped and lose any take homes or w/e you have coming your way.. i only have to go once every two weeks now, but have been going for i think 15 years this may 13th, well, tha'ts my clean date although i was on a few detoxes before getting on mm..
good luck..

I'm also on methadone and I get oral swabs all the time at my clinic I don't even smoke bud but I picked up a bad habit of trimming with no gloves on some where down the line ... So I always fail every test ... They don't trip just no take homes for me whatever it's an 8 minute drive there they don't do oral swabs at ur clinic? We have swabs unsupervised urines and supervised ones but I've never had the latter

I had to get a sperm count done. This required me to jerk off with a dry hand in an unlocked room with the nurses talking just outside the door. That was hard.

I am under methadones handcuffs as well. Been clean for almost 3years now and still tapering off, should be out within a few months.

Theres a guy at my clinic that ALWAYS has to drink water to be able to TRY and take a piss, so I understand what youre saying. I wish I had some good info for you, but all I know is you MIGHT EVENTUALLY get caught bringing in urine. You can tell them what your issue is after getting caught (if you do get caught that is) and tell them your clean and will pee infront of them if theyd like....but some states have rules where you can have an automatic discharge, cold turkey for stuff like that. Not up to the clinic, but idk your laws. Im just trying to tell you that you could put yourself in a HORRIBLE situation if you get caught.

Lets talk worst case scenario. You get caught, youre discharged on the spot. 5-6 days later, youll potentially be in the ER for extreme withdrawls. Can lose your job, leading to potentially missing rent/mortgage payments. In the end of all this, you either suffer the withdrawl which is worse than Heroin (personal experience) or you start all over at the methadone clinic. Im trying to get out of this hell hole myself, it helpz you get clean but then makes it difficult to get off of. If you would like to talk, regarding methadone or whatnot give me a shout.
