You can get it from a San Pedro cactus. Which is legal to buy. Get a 2 foot piece of cactus. Remove the triangle ribs and remove the peal. Then put it in the freezer and let it warm up and re freeze a few times. After that the juice will flow and the high is great. If you purchase some as a drug it is always a fake. Go natural (the taste is bad) after you puke the high is amazing. Highly recommended.

personaly I think the tea extraction method is the easiest. If you go to erowid's vault it is the first recipe. it's by MJ shroomer I think. I however would add the juice of a lemon for each pound of cacti. Alkaloids need to be extracted in something acidic. I'm cooking some myself right now.
