Medical reasons...really?

I'm hella tired so this may sound stupid but here goes. Are all the people fighting for legalization of medical marijuana really wanting it for "chronic pain"? I mean really their are sooo many pain killers I'm sure you could just get a prescription and be ridden of whatever pain you have. Not meaning to offend anyone (if this sounds offensive at all?) just wondering cause of a post I read on that cop forum that that one guy posted where the cops were arguing about legalization.

Being honest, I'd rather smoke a joint then take some of the drugs that damage your liver for a simple headace.

I do use it for chronic knee pain though, as the wire in my knee hurts me so when I run.

It stops my back spasms without making me light headed or upset my stomach like muscle relaxers.

Hell even the over the counter painkillers will fuck up your liver and thin your blood.
