I find it unconscionable that the group behind 'Responsible Ohio' would seek to use their money to corner the Ohio marijuana market in the name of legalization. Allowing only 10 cultivation centers to be owned by the backers of this initiative is a joke. In Washington, home growers grip all the time about how the legalized system is bullshit, but these malcontents are also perhaps focused more on their financial profit rather than the progression of the movement. Aside from the untenable tax structure in WA (which is in the process of being corrected), the WA licensing system is probably the best model to follow. Anyone with 250 dollars for a production license and 250 for a processing license was welcome to apply for a license. This has created too many growers, intense competition and a glut of unsold product, but better to have the opportunity to compete rather than being forced to buy marijuana at inflated prices from producers motivated by money before the movement. I could see the sense in a merit based system and cultivation limits, but the Responsible Ohio initiative is a joke and a setback to the people working on real solutions to bring legal weed to Ohio. I don't think legalization needs to be complicated, I support using the general type of regulations in place for the alcohol industry.

ohio legislators are trying to pass a law to outlaw the Legalization in Ohio through the RO plan. even though it has all the signatures.. lets not pretend a tea party state is honestly against a corporate monopoly. my God, the GOP worship corporations as Gods! Ohio Legislators only do this in service to the Pharmacy lobby because it keeps marijuana illegal in Ohio.

Just so I'm clear, the legislature is passing a law to negate all marijuana referenda, or just a specific one

all signatures have been squires but I'm more worried about laZy ass teens that won't register and vote but will continue given potheads bad names
