i like this process. takes a little longer than others ive seen, but also seems to produce a superior product. I think ill give it a go when i get the rest of my setup. Thanks @Baywatcher for taking the time to learn me something good.

Canna: Good luck with it, let me know it comes out, ask if you have any questions.

Stanger: Welcome to the thread, glad you dropped in! The PC is a cut I got locally, so I have no idea who the breeder was. My test plant only yielded 3z, but the guys I got it from are getting 6-8z per plant when grown big. I've got another one I'm harvesting next week that looks like it will be closer to 4 than 3. It grows a lot like headband and fire og, very stretchy, medium-sized dense nugs all up and down the stalk. To get it properly performing, plan on flipping it at 3-4' high and it ultimately stretching to ~6 feet.

It is, without doubt, the best smelling strain I've grown so far. The Pineapple Express was close, but the Phantom Cookies has an intense, almost floral, bouquet. It's kind of clovey/lemony, very distinctive.

I'm really excited to run some oil from it. It will be another couple of weeks before I have enough trim cured.

I love it when you get a strain that REALLY stands out. This Blue Thai I started this year was like that, and a few of the Sin City strains.

That sucks. Well if mine turns out well you can have a cut. Or some of the seeds im going to make with it. Pineapple express/kali mist. One of the KM turned out to be a male. It was of course the best looking specimen.

I planted a couple of Dutch Passion femmed Skunk #1 seeds, the first one has popped.

Also, got my lab results back. Purple Haze == 18.9%, Phantom Cookies = 19.3%

Woot can't wait to check it out man. One of these harvests I need to just take a few OZ and run them and get a nice big oil batch. Normally I am only running enough for 1-2g batchs

If I don't have 2 oz of good trim after taking down a plant, I freeze what I do have after it is dried and cured, and combine it with the next plant of the same strain to come down. My tubes hold 58-60 grams, so it's a perfect run size. I've got a qp of cotton candy in the freezer that I need to run at some point, but since it is primarily headstash, there's not much hurry.

I finished a batch today that was all blue thai trim :). Turned out very nice, you get blasted with the thai flavor, but I only got 2g of the A grade. I bet that cotton candy will be yummy.

what ch'all dab with? Im thinking of using reverse bowls and glass rods. not a fan of titanium nails, but i haven't tried much else.

I started with a glass or quartz nail because it came with the rig I got. When I got my second oil rig it came with a Ti nail. What I REALLY want is a quartz "honey bucket" but I can't spend the money like that. My glass blower buddy only uses a domeless Ti, another friend of mine uses a domeless quartz all the time. I've tried the Ti skillet set ups, and they work ok. I have only used a hot rod set up once, and have to say I really did not like it. It seemed to leave alot of oil in the bowl, and i felt it was more of a pain to hold and heat the rod then try to fanagle it into the right position to vape the oil well.

For me personally I REALLY like using a nail though. The hits are solid, and smokey. My current rig is the perfect height to just set my torch next to and let it heat while I get a dab ready. Just my 2 cents though, I'm not sure what Bay uses.
