Mdogg's pennywise grow

Hi everybody,

I've posted pics on this forum before, but never a grow journal, so I figured why not start with a strain that doesn't have many grow journals yet. I have previously grown jillybean and the flav and loved them both, but it's just too much fun trying out new strains. My living situation allows me to only have one tent going in my garage, so clones and moms end up going to my friend's house where there are multiple rooms going. I am also on the search of a good strain for social anxiety, so hopefully some high cbd medicine will do the job. I ended up getting a five pack of Pennywise and starting the seeds in October. About a week after the seeds popped, my friend that has taken clones for me before asked if I wanted to finish some moms off for him that he didnt have room for. Since my room is only a 2x4 tent, he took my seedlings and held onto them until the moms he gave me finished flowering. Here are the plants right after getting them back:

Here they are a couple of weeks later topped, transplanted into bigger containers, and tied open:

Very cool. I've been interested in the Pennywise strain since hearing about it on this forum. The 1:1 ratio of THC to CBD is something that I think would help me medically. Ill be interested in hearing a smoke report on this. I wasn't able to get any PW seeds last season, and I refuse to give money to any dispensary ( never found one I could trust). I'm definitely going to be following this grow, Good Luck.

I fucked up with mine not sure if I overwatered when she started flowering but anyway my guess would be that she is a heavy feeder. Mine still has 2-3 weeks to go to get to 60 days but she already looks like she s done according to her color hehe ... anyway good luck looking forward to see how you do. oh yeah I have another one that is looking good I ll post pics when I take em!

That looks bomb GreenSanta! I love how bushy she is. It looks like she didn't stretch much either. I like the color too. After their final stretch, three easily doubled in size and two didn't stretch much. Here they are last week around 20 days into flower:

Thanks DCobeen! I've been growing for a few years now, but I've been only able to do a few harvests a year since I have only one room going. Luckily my friend has been growing for about a year longer in hydro and needs help with the multiple rooms he runs, so I feel lucky to get the extra experience that I would have if I was able to do a perpetual grow. I'll try and post some better pictures of each plant outside of the tent this week at the four week mark.

I'm going to start taking solo shots of each plant outside of the tent to try and show the natural color better. I'm also going to start giving descriptions of each plant as they mature and take on their own characteristics. Here is Pennywise #5 at 29 days this morning before the lights went out:

This one is extremely short and barely stretched at all after the 12/12 flip. She has a really tight inner-node spacing; I'm tripping out that she is forming little colas already! She's not as resin covered as the other plants, and she also smells a little sweeter and not as fruity and lemony as the other four. I'm guessing more of a harlequin leaning pheno?

Oh yeah im not sure if you said, but what light you using? and your plant is doing excellent mine is smaller just 31 days from seed. I jsut gave her a bigger pot. and its weird how the roots grow and they was so white and perfect looking. they do love this air injection soil.

I'm using a 600w digital hid, just blasting them in the 2x4. I like your squat little pennywise, I'm all about short, bushy plants. Looks like your using an led, how do you like it? I creep around on the led forum every now and then to see whats new. What's up with the air injections soil?

Thanks for the update. I have a PW girl ready to go into flower, and am eager to see you continue your journal.
I'll keep updating weekly, so you'll have a nice preview of what you can look forward to with yours. I'm really liking the structure and smell of all of them so far. oh yeah, and the resin production too!

Here is pennywise #4. she was a beast in veg, but didn't stretch as much as I expected once into flower. She's got some nice resin coverage and a lemon smell with a slight sweet undertone. This one also has the most heads on her too and I think that she will yield nicely.

Here's #3. She seems to be more of a 50/50 representation of the parents based on the other phenos in my tent so far. She's got a good mix of sweet and lemon and only stretched a little bit more than bushy little #5. More resin on the fan leaves than #5 too.
