what do you think the max yield of a single plant in a 5 foot tall tent. i'm trying to get a figure on how much i can get and how many plants i need.

im growing 8 plants right now in a 2x4x5 tent. With the way shit is going right now, i hope to get around an lb dry off of my grow. 2 oz per plant aint too much to ask.
If your using a growtent, that cant be the only factor in determining what your yield could potentially be. You need to factor in your lighting system, your ventilation, wether your going to use co2, nutrient regimen, additives, and everything else that comes along during a grow, unexpected or otherwise. My plants are only gonna end up being almost 2 feet tall, not including the growbag which is about a foot, so 3 feet total. They are a week into flowering, and still going through the stretch.
The advantages of growing in a growtent, are that you have your own personal greenhouse, and if you decide to grow in a closet or something like that, its contained even inside the closet, so you dont need to worry about negative pressure in your grow area, or having to lightproof everything. IT all takes care of itself, and all you have to worry about is proper ventilation and lighting. If your tent is 2 1/2x2 1/2 x 5, then id say you could probably fit 4-5 plants in there pretty snugly. If your growing with an HID (like a 400w MH/HPS digital setup), you could potentially get 10 oz off of your grow if you do everything in optimal conditions. What i would do if i were you, would be to expect low numbers, that way your not disappointed if you get like 3/4 - 1 oz off of each plant.
and always remember that YIELD IS NOT EVEN CLOSE TO AS IMPORTANT AS THE QUALITY OF THE BUD

With my past soil grows... I grew with a 24"X32" flower space... so I just popped 2-4 clones (sog, nonvegged) in every week and lollipopped them 2wks into flowering so they focused main growth on the cola...
So every week I ended up with 28-70g per week that way... I could fit 32 of those in there using 4" square pots... Best micro and best producing micro system I've used... So theoritically, if you I used your space, I'd be certain I could rotate 8 clones in and out of flowering perpetually... so with a guesstimate of .25-.50 per flowered clone I could potentionally figure 2-4oz per week, or even to say 8-16oz's per month...
So I guess I could just summed it all up in... it's really all in the method you choose... this one has worked the best for me and I wold recommend two mothers for something that size... but you've got potential for production or focus hard on 3-4 monsters every couple months... I like a bit of each! My sog section is on the same shelf I throw my replaced mothers after their commision is over, so I LST'em and flower them next to their daughters... So it's all personal preferance and can't really say any of them are wrong, just what suites your needs best!

Ok 30"X30"... ok, ok... so that'd give ya 8 perpetual flowerings per weeks for your clones... sssooo 2-4oz per week or 4-8 oz per month by my sog method...
My bad dude... bbbuuuttt... from my own honest humble opinion... if your looking you max yeid and limited space... Scrog or LST or Sog... For the fastest efficient system... Perpetual Sog harvest works best... Just remember to adjust the hights of the young one so the older ones done steal all they's rays mang!!!
PS.... what KING said... like my women... Quality, not quantity... I don't go to crazy and packing them in cuz I want that light beaming from the heavens basking the hugh colas!!!
