Mass ant suicide!

My basement is being invaded by suicidal ants! I found one or two decent sized winged black ants during my last grow a few months ago, but they never became a problem. But over the last month or so, I found one or two more that in the last two weeks have exploded in numbers. But all the winged ants are dead or dying. They flop around and cant fly and move like half of their body is paralyzed, or they drown in the puddles or water in my flood table. Theyre getting washed into my reservoir and there are dead ants all over the place. But I do also notice a bunch of little tiny non-winged ants roaming around in a different area of the room, so there is obviously a hive or nest or whatever the fuck you call it nearby.Im pretty sure I know how they got in(crack in foundation) but theres nothing I can really do about that. They dont seem to be bothering the plants, but they are a major nuisance. Im going to do a major clean up down there this weekend, but what would be a good ant killer that wont bother my G13/Haze girls that are mid-flower? This is the first time I have had an ant problem in the years I have lived here. Hell, ever. Ive never had an indoor ant problem before.

Do I need to be concerned that they might start harming the plants? So far, they dont seem to bother the plants, just make a mess with their dead bodies everywhere, but they are multiplying fast and need to be dealt with for sure.

Im pretty sure these ants are carpenter ants. I found and killed a queen in my living room last year, and killed one I found during my last grow, but that was 6 months ago.
