Mason jars?

Ok so i hung my bud to dry for about a week, the stems snap instead of bending so ive read thats a sign that its pretty much dried out. so i put them into the mason jars.

I opened the jar a couple of hours later and it smells like.... kinda like when the grass is wet and you mow your lawn... type smell is this normal i put a hygrometer shows 50% humidity.

Yeah..its normal. Burp them twice a day for the first week maybe 15 mins each time. Once a day for the second week and so on. A proper cure takes about a month to get the results your looking for.

what should i expect from appearance of the bud? is it going to stay the same after cured?

After a month it will have the bag appeal that you are looking for. Usually around the 3rd week you'll see it start to look good

I notice even if i dont burp the jars i can still smell the bud from the outside. is air exchanging? did i just touch the outisde with my sticky fingers?
