I haven't turned it past 75%... I have a SE5000 in a 3x3 as well and I don't turn it up past 75% either...

I've had great grows with various products from Mars Hydro and aside from a light that I won from someone else, Mars Hydro and HLGare the only lights that I will use from here on out... I can actually afford to buy a nice bar light thanks to them!!! And the tents are awesome too!!!

I believe I got to 85% with the 6500 in a 4x4, pushed to 90 but the plants seemed a bit unhappy. Probably not enough CO2 for them. That said the tent has a 7 square foot larger footprint than the 3x3. Would have to take some par readings with it in a 4x4 to see how it did.

The SP3000 I just put in is at 75% now, and tonight I'm gonna turn it up already.
I haven't been blessed with the bar lights yet, but I don't think I'd have an issue with them at 100% if you let the plants adjust, and don't have the light too close.

Even Mars suggests CO2 supplementation for full power. I can tell you I played with that 6500 and at a point it did make the plants less than happy. Perhaps they could have adjusted but there is just a point where they hit the max usable light IMO. Now you did mention how close they were so I suppose you are correct if you have the height which a tent does not tend to offer so that is an important point. I did get my HLG 600 up to 100% but not the 650 watt Mars light.

The flap is awesome. If you keep the inner flap on the door... behind the flap on the doorway.. it seals up that light that may penetrate through the zipper line pretty well. If you just happen to have a pinhole.. the flap comes in clutch.

Yeah every light that I have from HLG I have on full blast... Wouldn't do that with these bar lights,at least without extra equipment..

Here there RIU. Time to try some plants under the Mars Hydro FC 8000. Will be growing BOG Sour Bubble. Last attempt to F2 these found the 3 males throwing pistils around the same time they started dropping pollen so I killed them and grew the plants out for smoke. Now it's time to try again. Set...
