I hear that growing on a mountain top at or near the equator is the ultimate, in time to harvest and temp swings. thus causing natural stress and great adaptaions to environs:)
i suggest making your own seeds or finding local ones as well ...
i agree 110%. Reason, total sunlight exposure from every angle. Only part is climbing up to check up on your girls.

All of my plants have a few seed, at least.....and I do prescribe to acclimatization.

I bet your monsoon is more rain/y than our. If we get 10in of rain during those 2 months...that is very good
Our island has a tropical rainforest climate with no dry season. The area within 40 km of our island is covered by oceans and seas (96%) and croplands (2%).

that sound.s like Kauai.
but the south and west sides of the Hawaiian islands looks like here...semi arid. Same trees, cactus, rock and sand and red clay...until you run into the ocean. Closest seawater is the Seas of Cortez from here.

I grow all kinds. One of my favorites is a cross I started from commercial Mexican. Most of the commercial Mex [I see] is grown w/i 300 miles of here....so kind of local. I have a couple of local heirloom strain and have some "brand name" genetics. Honestly, I like to grow out commercial Mex the most....if you select your "seed stock" carefully it can give some VERY good smoke.

speaking of hybrids and Hawaiian

got a few from a friend from there. One is a local strain. Looks like pure indica.. Another is a hybrid. Indica heavy
I was surprised by now big/fast the pure indica got in a 12/12...Bigger than th hybrid. We will see how it runs "long season"...I can do that here.
and then there is MalawiGold. Pure sativa..Equatorial sativa. You might get grey hair waitng for this one. I had a friend pull one at 150day of 12/12...said enough. needed the space. Some sats are very photosenstive and will not get any size. I was gifted some Herijuana for that reason.
