Marijuana Freak Out

Last night, in one of the most unexpected crazy events of my life, a person had a horrible "episode" in a smoking session. The guy who had the incident was probably the most "normal" and calm guy there. I don't know if he was a "seasoned" smoker, but I've smoked with him a few times before and we just got high - nothing weird. Last night however:

We were using a nice big Glass-on-glass bong, and there were 6 of us, with 2 of the people smoking for their first time pretty much. After about 3 bowls of really good kryp, one of the newbies couldn't clear the bong and passed it with about half the bong filled with smoke. The next guy takes it, milks the cherried bowl till the bong is white and rips a huge hit. We finish the bowl and he says "Shit did I smoke all the weed? I'm sorry guys... but it was still a really good hit don't get me wrong." So we're all cool, just hanging out in the living room talking.

Suddenly, the guy who took the big hit just flings his glass of ice all over the room and looks around at us like "what's up?" and everyone has this look on their faces like "okaaaay?" Then he calmly says "I think I'm freaking out." We all just laugh at him dismissably because hell, we're all high and stoned out of our mind. Then he's like "No I'm really freaking out. I'm not alright" then he proceeds to kick and punch the air and the table and he starts flayling around the room, almost breaking a lot of stuff in the process. He does a backflip over the couch and runs into walls and hits his head on a coffee table, etc.

At first, I thought he was just joking around, and making a really unfunny joke but I started to think part way through it that is was some sort of seizure. I wasn't really sure. He was wigging out and all of us tried to pin him down on the ground so he didn't break anything or hurt himself and he wouldn't calm down. It took him maybe 5 minutes to be able to say anything, and when he finally did start talking it wasn't really coherent. He started asking "where did this go?" "Are you sure it wasn't over here? Right HERE?"

We all kept telling him he was alright and in a safe place. We kept trying to reassure him that nothing was wrong and that we all just needed to calm down and everything would be fine. We finally got him to relax on the couch and the 2 newbie smokers were starting to freak out too thinking the weed was laced. It wasn't and everyone was fine but the 2 guys kept worrying that those "effects of marijuana" commercials were non-fiction. After this, I'm starting to think so too because it was the most surreal thing I've ever experienced with weed.

Has anyone else either experienced a REALLY CRAZY freakout like this, or been with someone who has?
What are some other "freaking weird" experiences you've all had?

Was my first 2g Joint, and damn we only used to roll up 0.1g joints and go skate... and we coudlnt balance anyway..


I smoked the 2g spliff... And, these kids came to play truth or dare where i was smoking... it was by the skatepark...... I was chilling against a blue fence seperating supplys builders were using to build somin around there... anyway..

So i'm smoking these kids start playing truth or dare.... i'm like fuck, dont they see me smoking a joint... ? I was like 15 and they were like 11... kinda freaky...

anyway as time goes by, im left with about 1 cm of the spliff... im getting real high, the fence behind me starts to burn my back.... it was like on a grill..... My back felt like it had been burnt majorly !

I freak'd the fuck out, stood up... took of my t-shirt... look'd around me.. and all was fine..... Then I sit back down.... this time on the concrete wall... where it was colder....

I start to hear these kids voices Going - T---tt-t-t-t-t-t-t-t--r-r-r-r-r-r-r -uuuth

oooo----r-rr-r-r-r-r- dare

And i just stood up told them to stfu, and just puked 5 times after a row, afterwards i went to watch the matrix cuz my friend was like dude, u promised.. I was like yeah i know dude... but u dont know what just happend.. in the end i went to watch the matrix... pretty sick ^^

Yeah my friend puked a few times too. I forgot to mention that.

ive never seen anyone freak out or anything like that but ive seen people get sick a couple times. i think it happens with bongs alot because people dont realize how big of a hit they are getting and they get too fucked up.

I freaked the fuck out while jet lagged, drunk, and high last night. I was brought back to my last psychadelic trip state of mind. No control of motor functions, minds freely flying to any corner of my brain and doing it at a million miles an hour. It left me feeling vulnerable and violated.

this is exactly what happen with a kid at my house who tried salvia. Almost exactly the same.

I have a homie who had a seizure. We just finished a blunt of some mids, and he cuts his finger while making a sandwich. Not that bad of a cut. When he goes to wash it off he falls down and starts snoring and twisting and sh!t. He pissed on himself too. Whe he came to he said he saw all types of evil sh!t.

The most that has happened to me was not being able to find the light switch on my lamp... lol .... I swear to frickin Gawd it was there but I couldn't feel it.. and I was in a pitch dark room. I turned the lamp on millions of times so I knew exactly where the switch was.. Some force beyond physicality was fckin with me... Because the switch just appeared there after feeling for it for a little while.. It also could have been the fact I was blitzed outta my dome... I had a slight panic attack after I finally got the light on.. I was just sitting there on my bed thinking existentialistic thoughts... The existentialism is what used to bring on occasional panic attacks in the past...I think too much when I'm really high [as with most peeps] and sometimes I can't handle my own thoughts... After having a few panic attacks, I taught myself to control my thoughts enough to the point it could be an almost spiritual experience for me rather than a dark, existentialistic experience.

You never know what was going through your friend's mind when he freaked... Maybe you could ask him... and if he is a newbie smoker, then don't let him smoke so much in one sitting next time...

after I tried shrooms for my first (and last) time, every time that I smoked afterward for about I freaked out. Each time I got high I thought I was seriously injured or sick or something... I got really paranoid. I was going to go to a hospital and get checked for cancer and every other disease. I was good at keeping the freak outs to myself but you could tell if you looked at my face.

^^ something like me and my freind are like..sometimes afta we smoke like 5 grams drivin round town...me and my freind think we are fucked up and havin cancer and shit and somethins wrong inside us but then we snap back and no we all good

Yeah...I have tripped horribly at the hands of really dank pot once. It was some of the only pot that has ever made me hallucinate, i was sitting at my desk quite like i am now when i looked up and this metallic looking bee is flying straight at me i remember i quickly hit the ground looking for something too start swinging at this...i stood up told myself that i was just really stoned and sat back down lol...i saw the same bee once again about 4 years later this time we were in line at a burger king i had pretty much the same reaction 'get the fuck outta here or kill' however my friends that were there later told me that it was embarasing as hell too have me try and attacking something that wasnt there.

I would imagine during a major bong hit, you try to take in too much and end up swallowing some smoke. That can make you puke eh?

actually this has happened to two of my friends...both this summer...

first time i was at this kids house and our friend brought over his glass on glass bong and like 10 minutes after we get done smoking the kid whos house it was had locked himself in the bathroom and was puking all over the place. i ended up having to drive him to his other house cause he was so fucked up.

second time was same place same bong just different time and a different friend. he was fine the whole time we were smoking but again like 10 15 minutes later he tells me hes too fucked up to drive so i have to drive his car to my house where hes staying. we make it to my neighborhood and he makes me pull over infront of my neighbors house and just starts puking out the window.

people freakin out on weed are hilarious. never have, never will. i remember freshman year college we had this long ass pipe we called the peace pipe and one of my boys hit it with us, proceeded to freak out, thought he was dying after we left and like had his gf stay with him all night cuz he thought he was gonna die. (that's the kush for ya) he quit smoking all that year, but if you met him now you'd never imagine. lol. never gonna let him live that one down.

To the best of my knowledge a seizure like that isn't possible with mj. It's a lot more like a full on grande mal seizure by what you've described. I really and sincerely hope that he sees a doctor and at least has an EEG, make sure his goo's not borked. (If he's really afraid that the doc would turn him in, then don't say he had smoked. But, I've always told my docs, the ones who need to know. )

I've smoked stuff that just made me feel ill, and it wasn't because I'd taken such a fat rip or anything like that. I've seen lots of people puke their GUTS OUT, if it made me do that I wouldn't smoke. But, yes, either way someone can end up tossin' their beans.

My own worst trip was just having bad thoughts, a downer, and a little paranoid, very unusual for me. With that I know it was the weed, but I also had a very firm grip on reality, it was more the kind of thing that gets a person depressed, you know? I've only hit the deck when I put myself there or for being clumsy, but I've smoked stuff that has given me some pretty strong and unpleasant head-rushes. Nothing like a seizure or a break with reality. The first guy's story sounds like something that would happen to a schizophrenic, or.. something.

It's kinda funny that the other two freaked because of the first guy. Put on your big girl panties, now..!

my friend picked up northern lights one day, he packed it in my bong and let me get the first rip. well I ripped so hard that I smoked the entire bowl pack in one hit and inhaled all of it. then I remember blowing out the smoke and sitting back looking around the room, my vision was so messed up and I couldn't comprehend what was happening around me.

wow no shit thats crazy, my friend cut his finger and went to clean it up and had a seizure too! it was horrible he was looking through me and then he tensed right up and started fitting
