Marijuana for Ptsd?

High CBD strains have had a huge benefit for PTSD sufferers. If you can find yourself in California you can find the ACDC strain. I have helped may returning vets. reduce their stress and quiet the voices in their heads using it. Be careful if you decide to use high THC strains as they can increase anxiety in some cases. I can't speak about other war related injuries without specific examples.

I cannot believe, using evidence-based reasoning, that PTSD wasn't formally approved for medical use in Colorado -- a lot of veterans are using it anyway, under the authorized extreme pain prescription.

Cannabis is great for panic attacks, especially nocturnal attacks. Tora Bora is a wonderful strain, as well as the popular Purple Kush. Infusing indicas into coconut oil for a post bedtime tea also works wonders for restless nights.

What are your views on Marijuana for treating Ptsd and other war related injurys....
I think that they are spot on with the CBD strains. I avoided them for a while. I thought that a good sativa and coffee would do me good. It turned out to make me a ball of stress. CBD makes those feelings go away and forget it. I turn down the VAs meds. i am 70% PTSD and recently went to a C&P exam and supposed to raise it to 100%
I think that there is Cannatonic in your region.

I think that it has to do more with the big drug companies pulling thier weight in politics!

I dont have evidence. Just paranoid.

I've had great success with using a CBD tincture during the day and vaporizing a 1:1 CBD to thc flower mix before bed. I'm sleeping way better and nightmares are very infrequent now. High thc does increase my anxiety but the 1:1 really helps with the sleep.

in newfoundland this guy on the news was trying to get easier medical marijuana access for 5000 vets on the island with ptsd, he said he smoked 10 grams a day to properly medicate but personally i find high doses of weed can cause anxiety but small amounts can definitely help my friend, i recommend getting a glass pipe and smoking very small bowls throughout the day i believe this will definitely help you, good luck

Have PTSD and been treating it with cannabis for years, for me a sativa works best during the day, then I mix a bit of couchlock weed at night to calm down and sleep(with my PTSD only sleep 20-40mins max) might manage to get 3 hours if i keep busy all day. Have 2 friends with PTSD that went down the CBD and couchlock road, they find it an improvement with my method but everyone's PTSD is different.

My friend grows the sativa for me cant remember the strain name, but it is a jungle landrace not a tropical. We want to get some of the ace seeds breeder packs they have pheno's of their popular strains that are less psychoactive and milder high, friggin perfect for PTSD

The biggest problem when medicating with cannabis is finding employment, or keeping it, and it's the only i reason have not got the breeder packs myself and have to have a friend grow it.

Is that where you're from? New Brunswick here. My buddy geoff has ptsd from the military and my buddy Chris has ptsd from a traumatic experience, both smoke indica only and just do it in moderation like you say. They both agree that vaporizing somehow increases anxiety so they stick to smoke. I forgot to find out the medication my buddy used for his anxiety I'll send an email to him he's in Edmonton and I'll pm you.
