Ok i have a few projects im thinking of tracking info on and experimenting with. I have a few questions though.. I have a 10 pack regular Mosca's Cinderella 99 Bx, DNA Chocolope kush & RPs OG18 , both Feminized and doing well. And im about to get a few Auto seeds from a freebie order.
I plan on breeding a male C99 to the OG and Chocolope Kush, what would happen if i pollenate an Auto with the C99 ?? Auto feminized seeds containing C99 characteristics??

if you have a male and crossed it with feminized females, the seeds will not be feminized. also, yes they should be about 50/50 with f1's on characteristics.

I understand all of that, in fact all femal seeds from that F1 grow will also have hermi traits recessive.

What I WANT to know is a regular IBL male to auto female.. What happens THEN?? Auto males and females?

yes they will be auto males and females. Some will have it more than others.

Well if you pollinate an auto with a non auto you will get a bunch of seeds that will be part auto...but not all of them will auto, and really none of them might...it is a toss up...but you pick a female you like out of the original seeds and then pollinate it with a male that you also made during that bunch of seeds, and those next gen seeds are more likely to be autos...so then you grow out some of those and keep the ones that auto and just keep breeding the ones that auto to the ones that auto, and in a year or so you can have a totally new strain of auto at your disposal.

But putting male pollen on a fem plant doesn't make the seeds fem..you will get a mix of male and female seeds...

P=photo plant
A=Auto

P x A= a mix of both autos and photos...

take those mixed plants

PA x PA and you will start to get more localized results...some of the plants will auto and some won't. but you keep breeding for what you want...

it takes awhile...but you can do it.

Thank you very much!
Great post Miss n u , i have never messed with autos and i think ill keep it that way.
Ill just let them flower out and keep my focus on the regular and feminized seeds.
I wanted to know if id be on the right track, its clear that idea is NOT ;)
Keep focus on the Chocolope Kush x Cinderella project and the Cinderella x OG#18

Auto flowering characteristic is recessive. If you're crossing XX and xx then your offspring won't autoflower. It will be recessive in all of them though.

The Xx will probably behave as a regular photoperiod plant given that genes dominance.

Xx to Xx

Will result in classic 25/50/25 with 25% of those being full autos. 25% will be completely non auto no recessive genetics. You will want to pull those if you are looking for autoflowering traits. You can then work exclusively with the autoflowering plants to get all autos in the future. However you might want to work with some of the hybrids too for other desirable traits. That will mean more work for you but probably a better end result (more plants too).

It's possible your male plant will have recessive autoflowering genetics which will change your initial cross outcome to something where there will be 50% autoflowering.

xx to Xx
x X
x xx Xx
x xx Xx

This is how you can determine expected outcomes by the way...

Look up Punnet Squares and you will learn a fair bit.

Missnu is right.

Depending on if you got the full auto phenotype in the one you are crossing, then you will probably get 50/50 autos and photos.

if you cross say a 75% auto phenotype with a full non auto, likely only a few seeds will have auto characteristics. If you take the seeds you got from the cross and grow out all of them, then find the ones that flower the fastest and moves those out of the bunch. Make sure you find a female then try to find a male with roughly the same characteristics in the bunch. Take the ones that have auto characteristics and cross the best auto male and female then you will have a stabalized strain that is roughly all autos with a tinny bit of photo dilution in the genetics. You can also buy this http://www.amazon.com/Bio-Silver-Ultra-Colloidal-Silver-ppm/dp/B003LUMDUQ/ref=pd_sim_hpc_2 which is colloidal silver. Put it in a spray bottle and find the two best females that have autoflowering characteristics. Spray one female with this stuff 3 times a day for 10-15 days and that female will turn into a male. Collect the pollen and pollinate the other female you selected. The seeds you get from this will be 99% female, meaning you will get what breeders call feminized seeds. Hopes this helps...

Its all very simple to understand. If you can understand percentages you can understand crossing.

I have crossed autos with photos, but haven't actually gotten a chance to try any of the resulting seeds, but I have a friend that is having some seed issues, and I feel that perhaps I can just start the seeds and then they can grow the plants. Minus a few ones that auto here and there...lol. But that is the only way I will get to try out as many strange cross seeds as I have made through irresponsible willy nilly "pollen chucking" but hey, I am not trying to sell them to other people, so who cares what I do for me? Me, that's who...
Anyway, for whatever reason I feel that even males that I keep alive must pay their due...what can a male do for me? Make seeds...
So if I get a male anything good, I will make a spot on each female plant I have, just so I can one day see what that makes. and because so far it seems to always go pretty well. So as long as you are breeding 2 high quality plants together you will usually get something also high quality...now in a batch of seeds usually some just won't be very good...but hey...it happens...besides when you have a hundred more who cares if some aren't so great...
Seeds are an investment..and I like to see the return...seed companies on all sides of the law hate me...I buy a couple of packs and then I don't need to ever buy more again.

that is why I said almost none of the first ones will auto...but if you breed those seeds together than you will start to see some autos, then you start breeding only the auto seeds together, and before too long autos are all you will get. bada bing bada boom.
I have spent much time on the subject because of dogs...oddly enough. I love muttly and yet distinctive dogs. I want to see what the mix is. Anyway, blah blah blah recessive + recessive, gives a recessive trait so you just have to keep breeding them back and back til that is all you have..the one pure cross.

If your interested I am sending out 10 seeds, 2 per person. I will probably do a little announcement on the forum, but if your down I will mail you free 2 seeds. Never before seen cross. F2 seeds, Jock Horror x Eldorado crossed with Blackberry kush. Should be around 18-22% thc like their parents.

All I need to be insured of is that you will supply me with pictures of my babies through there lives so I can see how they grow. I can mail them to an address or P.O. Box or whatever, I will be checking to make sure you do not give me the address of a police station. (there will be no return label on the seeds so dont mess up)

Anyone on this forum who would like one or two just pm me with where you want me to send it!
