Making THC pills

Looking for someone with a little experience in this.

Im thinking of mixing some decarbed oil with some coconut oil to create a consistency to inject into
empty Vcaps. The oil was purged under high heat 250F and -30hg vac for a total of 50 hours. Oil was flipped once to purge the other side also.

any help on a recipe or advice would be appreciated. Thanks

I made a tincture the other day and my girl picked up some empty gel capsules. That worked fine for me. The caps fit exactly one dosage. Is this close to what your looking for or are you looking for the formula to make coconut/bho or tincture?

This is a recipe of bho coconut oil for cana capsules. Might be what your looking for.

coconut oil and decorated bho is what ill be using. How did you make the tincture?

I decarb'd 18 grams of high quality kief in a mason jar with tinfoil as the lid at 215f for 1 hour then mixed 1 cup of 100 proof absolute and let it sit for 5 days. Shaking it up at least twice a day everyday. After your week sit, strain once and squeeze all the alcohol into your empty jar out of the material you used. Then strain again threw a coffee filter. No need to squeeze this time. Should filter in a few minute. The recipe I read said to filter a third time but I didn't see the need. But this recipe is for material not bho.

I heard if your using bho you just let it sit until all your bho has desolved into the alcohol your using. Anything over 40% will work but the higher the % the less time you have to wait.

This is what I ended up with. It has qualities of a muscle relaxer

I do have to say though. I let the pill sit all night and when I came back to it it looked like the gel cap absorbed some of it. Also there were 2 small spots that were soft. Not much but some. Maybe .02 of 1 gram

Im going to try a straight coco oil / decarbed bho mix with soy lethicin.
ordered all the stuff already so it should be a few days. I want to try to make 3 different potencies.
I think I'm going to heat the oil up again under vac. Maybe go closer to 350F for a little. Im trying
to make a very "stoney" or "sleepy" medicine.
We'll see how that goes tho

hope this doesn't happen to my decarbed oil. you said you used alcohol with the bho? maybe the alcohol got absorbed
or evaped if they were in a warm spot. The oil i have is rather thick. at room temp its like shatter. I'm hoping with the coconut oil and soy lecithin will change the consistency a little bit tho.

From my experiences alch is a bad idea and will break down caps.

We make some pretty nice caps from winterized bho and coconut oil. Typically we just mix the two in a glass jar then heat to 280 or so till we see bubbles stop. Dont think the vac is needed for this step. Then dispense to your liking.

He's right. You don't need to vac for this step. But don't raise the heat any higher than 250f!!! You'll start burning off Turpin's. And that's what I was going for too that's why I used 18 grams of good kief.

One I decarb'd my bho oil it was runny as hell at room temp. I thought all decarb'd bho would be runny but I believe I perma gooed my bho and I could very well be wrong. But I do think that once you heat the oil and coconut oil together they should be runny so it mixes better?

But I also thought I ruined it because I was evaporating off my alcohol for 2 days before I realized where I was fing up. So i drained the water and its been sitting since. Was going to try again with bho once I made more

I read somewhere that the soy lecithin homogenizes the bho oil and coconut oil. I guess it also enhances the effects
of the oil by making it easier to absorb into your system. Do you think putting it under vac would also help stabilize the consistency of the final product? I want it to look rather on the liquid side then solid/buttery to be honest. Cant wait to try this out.. kind of a new area for me.

Coconut oil is solid at room temp so I don't know if that's possible. But I don't think the vac is needed for any of this. It should be even though out just from mixing. You might want to get a solid color gel capsule so you can't see the oil in it.

Wait. Would it be possible to use a different oil? Like avocado oil? Avocado oil is way more runny than coconut oil is at room temp and it's still ingestable because its made out of food oil

Just an idea. My girl just found it in the house and mentioned it. Made me wonder if it would be able to be used and if so it should keep the oily consistency to it

I don't see why you couldn't use a different oil.. ill need to try a few different types of mixes to maybe get the right
consistency.
