Isnt it different with plants? Because we only produce offspring one at a time, unlike mary who has thousands of kids at a time. Humans use kin recognition so we dont get mutated offspring, but plants use it as a means of protecting the family from evnironmental stresses, by warning siblings of trouble with aromas. There is a crazy doc. on youtube about plants being intelligent beings.

I planted 4 each the first go round and as my luck went both sets of seeds produced 5 females.I collected the pollen from the males and when the time was rite I pollinated making sure to keep track of which plant received which pollen and collected the seeds .The following year repeated the process using my purchased seeds and my newly created seeds that was 5 years ago......over that time I've crossed and( for lack of a better term) back crossed and refined the process and have good stable genetics and produce some fine smoke and I currently have about 500 viable seeds. I have given some to 2 of my friends that also grow and they use them routinely in their operation . One of the things I tried and didn't like were feminized seeds......don't really care for them but that's just me.
Why continually purchase seeds when you don't have to......that's the way I feel.
