Making pure Delta9-THC oil

i beg to differ. bsho is imposterous to honey oil. it was done to acheive a near product, but isnt anywhere close to it. co2 honey oil is so fresh and clean and easy, its surprising to me not many others seek it how i did. so im trying to bring this lost art back, replacing the now common knowledge with a non-toxic way with no inherit taste unlike butanes narrow spectrum range for extracting cannabinoids. co2 is a more complete oil vs butanes extract only like adding tar to your joints. butanes nasty from crude oil. co2 isnt nasty its like extracting w your breath. green dragon!!
I've wanted to try this, but wouldn't it cost more to do?

Yes, our bodies have a system to get rid of acetone... VERY SMALL AMOUNTS of acetone!
Ok...

Now think about this...
If it can only RELEASE a tiny amount through sweat, breath, and piss alone...
Then it can hardly absorb ANYTHING through your skin...
Considering that was one of the three modes of transport already listed, that YOU are trying to say can only let small amounts through :dunce:

CO2 extraction requires equipment that is not accessible to the vast majority of stoners. I would love to learn how to make hash oil with CO2, but I doubt that this is a procedure I could pull off at home. All of my BHO smoked very cleanly; it was the best extract i tried so far.

How do you go about making CO2 honey oil?

Your cause-effect logic is flawed. Don't put words in my mouth, that's not what I said, that is just your misinformed interpretation. I don't have the time right now to tell you why you are wrong (perhaps this weekend), but what part of NEUROTOXIN and CUMULATIVE EFFECTS do you not understand? You also conveniently ignored the MSDS quotes I provided.

I don't give two shits if you go and poison yourself, just don't go around telling other people to do it.

Your logic is flawed here...

Most stoners can afford home depot stuff...And paintball stuff...
And that's all you would need...:dunce:

Again.

You're wrong...

My PISS, and SWEAT can get stuff OUT of my body, a lot faster than reverse osmosis can get stuff IN my body :dunce:

I wasn't talking about the actual CO2, I was talking about the equipment you would need to handle the pressure (obviously). Now, if it can be done in the kitchen, I would love to see a recipe. If piss and sweat get stuff out faster than stuff can get in, then by your logic, covering yourself in nicotine patches won't kill you because you excrete it faster than you absorb it. If you actually think that it won't kill you, then go ahead and try it out...maybe you will win a Darwin Award...
I can see there is no reasoning with an idiot (who pours acetone on his hands to feel it evaporate) so this will be my last post on the subject.

I would very much like to see a recipe for CO2 honey oil though...can someone post it or post a link to it? One that can be carried out in the kitchen...?

You can get the stuff to handle that pressure at home depot, and any other stuff can be found in any paintball store.

When I make my first batch of CO2 oil I'll post a link.

I don't do paintball though, so butane was easier/cheaper.

Will do CO2 eventually though :D

Haha, very nice analogy . Nicely put.

Acetic acid can be acquired online quickly and readily (in light concentrations its just considered vinegar). If you are going to use acetic acid, I would suggest Glacial acetic acid, however i would highly suggest using a fume hood. A wiff of this stuff is like putting 10 ammonia caplets into your nose at one time.

i came here because I was wondering about the possibility of getting a truely high value concentrate. Not for me, it seems foolish, sort of like taking a fine bordeaux, making a decent brandy from it, and then distilling or filtering all of the "impurities" from the Brandy - so you have yourself some ethanol that started out as a treat and now can only be used as paint thinner - or it could be mixed with water so you could drink it comfortably. But there are always people who are interested in this sort of stuff.

All I see are arguments over the relative toxicity of acetone. Acetone in high concentrations isn't very good for you, it can be absorbed through the skin and the body does indeed have a method of expelling acetone, in fact small amounts of it are manufactured in the body as a result of certain imbalances - sometimes caused by a lack of food - or ketogenisis.

But the point is neither here nor there - anyone who works with organic solvents should take care of their lungs, eyes, skin and in most instances - no open flame.

I didn't get what I wanted though - I suspect that this method will bring waxes and various other impurities the amount of which would probably keep this method from being much more than a standard hash oil extraction.

Or am I wrong?

do not even attempt to get anhydrous acetic acid, glacial is about as far as you all want to go - the other stuff is watched fairly closely in about any quantity.

and yes, just because it is "vinegar" doesn't mean that it isn't quite dangerous at higher concentrations - I think vinegar is like - 10 percent or less acetic acid"

It's not standard, there are actual reactions taking place. The first reaction will turn all Cannabinoids in the plant into some form of THC and the second reaction will turn all of that THC to Delta-9-THC

Ok, Fin, but how do you get rid of those phenols, waxes, fats and the like that are dissolved in your original wash?

You need those, I know you can't make 100% PURE THC, it would be a corrosive, viscous oil. This method just gets you as close as you can get without getting TOO dangerous... Though some of it can be dangerous.

Ok, I see where you are going with this - isn't there some other thing? Like long long LONG ago we would treat extracts with acid - hydrochloric I think, i'm not sure - and it was supposed to rotate the isomers in the extract so that they were all of the type we wanted. It was called "isohash", they used to sell reflux devices where you were supposed to use isopropal and eventualy wind up with this greasy, watery mess that smelled green and smoked poorly but I believe the science was sound - it was simply the fact that isopropal is a horrible solvent for thc extraction. Is this akin to that in any way?

No, this is Dr. Atomic's Hash multiplier, named that because they actually thought they were preforming alchemy. The "alchemy" was really just taking not so active cannabinoids and turning them into the most active cannabinoid possible. Just read the first post, this is all in the first post.
