Major Energy Breakthrough: Electricity Generated from Water

PR Newswire - Leading academic and industry experts have validated BlackLight's new process that directly produces electric energy from the conversion of water vapor to a new, more stable form of Hydrogen.

Experts agree that BlackLight's "Hydrino theory" represents a fundamental breakthrough in clean energy technology.

BlackLight Power, Inc. (BLP) today announced a major breakthrough in clean energy technology, which experts agree holds tremendous promise for a wide range of commercial applications. The announcement comes on the heels of BlackLight's recent completion of a $5 million round of financing to support commercial development of its new process for producing affordable, reliable energy from water vapor.

In six separate, independent studies, leading scientists from academia and industry with PhDs from prestigious universities including the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the California Institute of Technology, confirm that BlackLight has achieved a technological breakthrough with its CIHT (Catalyst-Induced-Hydrino-Transition) clean energy generating process and cell. The Process is fueled by water vapor that is a gaseous component of air and present wherever there is any source of water. The CIHT cell harnesses this energy as electrical power output and is suitable for essentially all power applications including transportation applications and electrical power production completely autonomous of fuels and grid infrastructure at a small fraction of the current capital costs.

Ah, Friday night and the parents must be out.
Because you are posting?

Seriously?

If you get an article about something that could possibly change the world it is usually best to do some research.

When the subject is pulled up you have 2 websites plus digg as the only sources of info for this product. At that point you should start being suspect.

In addition, 5 million dollars is chump change in the private equity markets.

I am 99.9% sure this is a scam to get people to "invest"

"A new, more stable form of Hydrogen" (note capitalization for extra zing!) sounds to me like it's still steaming from where the bull dropped it. cn

We should all just get big hamster wheels hooked up to batteries to run our homes. Then you have to exercise if you want to play xbox or watch t.v. J/K

The whole article reads like a PR pitch or a sales brochure. The "Hydrinos are dark matter" bit really sounds wacky.

This thing hit all the buzzers on my bullshit detector, from the dubious quantum theory jingoisms to the darkmatter connection, and all the way down to "new type of hydrogen atom". When they start throwin in some zero point energy stuff, ill be sure to pass it by.

Sure would be nice if it were true, but the energy needed to break the O off the H2 is so extraordinarily high that you just cant get enough energy out of the Hydrogen to make up the cost. Ill remain skeptical.

I saw a TV powered by bicycle mounted generator. Watch TV and lose weight at the same time. If you slow down, the picture shrinks in size. CRT type TV. Cool!

In some coal fired generators, water is sprayed on the bricks lining the fire box, to increase their lifespan. The high heat cracks the water molecule into oxygen and hydrogen, which recombine (burn) in the flue, recapturing some of the heat lost to the brick liner. This is just a sales pitch for investment in a rip-off scheme.

i like this bit
resulting in a release of energy that is intermediate between chemical and nuclear energies
whilst they can name the nuclear and chemical "energies" they fall short of giving this intermediate a name

Have you invested in this yet MR neutron?

Yous should see what happens in a thermite fire. water just feeds it, with dramatic results. like a thousand little explosions with each spray. Only thing cooler is skipping sodium discs on a lake at night.
