My question is, what do I do with the growth tips that have little to no shot of getting light(zoomed in pic) through the canopy once she hits flower? Do I leave them, or are they just sapping energy that could be used for growth?

TRY IT ON A LOWER BRANCH AS A TEST AS THEY DON'T RETURN MUCH IN SOG OR CONFINED SINGLE COLA GROWS, YOU ONLY HAVE A BRANCH TO LOOSE.

THEY USE IT ON PRIZE MARROWS, PUMPKINS AND OTHER PLANTS FOR COMPOTITION HERE =IN THEW UK. JUST A THSAUGHT

Usually with mainlining you prune everything but the mains. No secondary branches to take away energy. If that's what you were asking I hope I helped.

Why heck, I've often wondered why not take off every single branch except one? And while you're at it pull off those useless leaves that are preventing critical light from getting to those bottom colas. Then you'd have as much "energy" as possible going to single huge, giant, enormous, forced-THC-laden super-colas. Yea, that's the ticket. I get it now.

I'm gonna tell our bud tenders to stop what they're doing immediately and pull off all the branches and leaves. Stop growing large, bushy, vigorous and healthy plants with all necessary elements in place. We don't really need those golf-ball sized, dense and sticky nugs on the bottom. I'll tell them that the interwebz experts know better. I'm certain what works in your closet will work scaled up 10,000 times in our warehouses. Should decrease our yield by at least 40-50% or so... but I just want to impress the interwebz geniuses so that they would be proud of me!
