It's been windy today on the mountain. Just remembered today that I haven't wire tied a lot of my cages off to my raised beds yet.

The plants are blowing to the left pretty hard.

2 years ago on 08/14/14 we didn't have the cages tied off and one flipped. Luckily we stood it back up and it was fine.

Checked the well the other day, needless to say it's getting low.

So I had to turn my M1078 into a tanker truck. We'll get through this season 1 way or another.

It is amazing how hydrolics work.
My friend down beside the wetland has been hauling water from our house in town for over a month now.
Our house is at 1,500 ft and our well is 1,580 ft, top of the mountain is 2,012ft. We've drained the well before running water none stop, 2 hrs later the well is full again. Our well consists of 4 tiles, 1 of which is 3+ ft above the ground, bottom tile is half full of silt. So it's about 12 ft deep.
All the run off brooks are bone dry. I only stopped using the well because it's getting low. After filling the tanks with 300 gallons of water, in a couple hrs the well returns to its new low level mark. But we have 4 adults here right now and 2 dogs. So I'm running for water as a precaution.
I'd hate to have to put up a tarp around the back of the military truck and have my wife and daughter solar showering out of the tanks in the back. My wife wouldn't complain but my daughter would... lol
