Lungs Cashed Out, Can't Get High

Hi.

I've got a little problem...

2 many edibles has my tolerance all fucked up so I stopped being able to just smoke a blunt with friends or hit a bowl a couple times...Buzz is gone in ~10 minutes don't matter what weed. Oils/Concentrates still get me there, just not as convenient or $$$ friendly. Ended up buying a bong so I could take bigger hits throughout the day and that was working great, but now even ripping that bitch doesn't do much for me. I'd just smoke more, but it's starting to get to where I can hardly take a hit without coughing n having a hard time breathing... i love smoking, been smoking since i was like 11, but it's starting 2 not be worth the effort.

Kinda curious what you guys do to recover your lungs n maybe if there's a way to lower my tolerance quickly/quicker?? Taking a break is an obvious answer, but who wants to not smoke weed for an extended period of time? =\ I'm gonna try to increase my exercise and water intake, probably get on a niacin regiment, and try to pick up a higher quality vape for a healthier alternative to the bong...if you got any ideas / tips they'd b appreciated

i smoked joints for 40 years but my breathing was getting a little wheezy so i switched to vaping about 2 years ago. Pax and Volcano. Highs a little different but it works for me and not near as hard on the lungs. Looking at getting a Mighty (same company as Volcano). Really think about taking a break for a while and see if your breathing improves, then ease back into it. sucks, i know

Im a light smoker because ive trained my body to get high from small amounts. Try this. Quit for a week (oh no!) trust me. Then only smoke one or two hits at a time. Not a whole blunt. Youll be getting pinned off of 50 cents worth of schwag in a month. Cheeeeeapo!

I went through an issue last fall where I couldn't smoke for about a month because I was wheezing so bad. Eventually figured out it wasn't my smoking that was the root issue. I had acid reflux or gerd that was spilling into my lungs giving me asthma like symptoms, especially when I laid down after eating. Dr.'s tested me for asthma and ruled it out. Then after being on Nexium for a couple weeks everything got better and I could smoke again without any coughing or wheezing spells. Not sure this story applies to you but on the off chance thought I'd mention it! Gerd symptoms don't have to include heartburn so it can be hard to identify sometimes.

Sooo through a combination of raids murders, lack of sleep, and waaaay too much cocaine and xanax...bout jan 21st i took a little vacation, came back march 21st..i think i actually posted the first time the 24th..anyway

That 2 months being sober was horrible. But now i get blasted, 1 bowl of bud and im done for 4hrs really 6 if im trying to look sober.
I was smoking with a buddy and couldnt even stand anymore. Its been so long since i was high Like that.
And i was smoking a qp a week, like you not getting real high. Lungs aching. It was horrible

Just take the break. It sucks but so worth it. Really clean your system and refresh yourself, not just a week or so.

broooo you might be on to something! Holy shit. I've been having terrible heartburn lately, 'coincidentally' started around the time it started hurting to smoke (roughly). Been waking up from the acid reflex / heartburn shit its that bad. Never knew there was a correlation between your respiratory system and Gerd :o

Regardless i think you guys are right...prob time for a real break :(

Smoking will make a gerd condition much worse so you need to get it under control. Go back to edibles for a little bit if you need to. I saw dramatic improvement after starting on 45 mg Nexium twice day on empty stomach. Raised the headboard of our bed up with a 2X4 and tried to eat at least 2 hours before laying down, avoided a few foods. After a few weeks I dropped down to 45 mg Nexium in morning only and now I just do 22.5 mg once a day and can smoke like a chimney again if I want to. I think after one week on the Nexium I was smoking without coughing at all. Had an endoscopy a few weeks ago and everything checked out great! Talk with your doctors if you can since I'm not one!

Smoke in unfamiliar environments. Your body won't be ready for it, you will get blazed again. Edibles can wreck your tolerance. I've learned this, so I only use them on occasion. BHO does the same to me. I have GERD as well, it can be nasty. I haven't had the lung symptoms, but that could easily happen. Nexium is a miracle drug in its own right.

i tend to get acid reflux during the night if i eat much past 9:00. dairy/potatoes seems to be worse. too much beef at night/heartburn the next morning.
