You're fooling yourself if you think the 'street names' and genetics are reliable. Just because some guy's sister's mother's daughter's machine machine repairman's cousin says he hard the starin he's growin is a purple kush doesn't make it so.

finding the right bean is not easy and can take a great deal of effort. Plus the results will vary with things like; growing conditions, level of compency that the grower posses, ect. Who hasn't seen two different people grow the same strain with completely different outcomes ???

Landrace strains are the future for some people, not all...

I posted this on some other post, don't think anybody notice. Depending on the price I wouldn't have a problem buying 1 or 2 clones. just to comply with the rules.
But I think I would buy most of my seeds of reputable seed banks.

If anyone has any recommendations??

No they aren't. They don't even have a sales license.
This is correct, all LP’s are waiting for the government to issue sell licenses for starting material. I will be buying starting materials from a LP...doesn't mean you need to actually use them ! but i want the paperwork to prove I did. In my opinion it pretty clear that LP are the ONLY choice if you are starting under the acmpr. The checkbox for "no" starting materials required is for peeps under the old system, they are allowed to continue to use their own strains. So has anyone received their paperwork back from Health Canada who was not on the old system and is new to the acmpr and checked the "no" box ?

order from Sannie. He has great prices, great selection and wonderful customer service. If the package gets stopped at customs, take a picture of the letter you receive and email Sannie and he will ship the whole order again for free. Ordered 20 times and had 1 get stopped, it was sent again after an email and received. No fuss no muss. He takes multiple payment styles and has world class freebies (you get one with every order, just mark it down at the end of your sale in the comments box)...plus you get 20% off if you mail him cash.

Let me know if you want a run down on any of his lines and ill provide you with my experience and my opinion of the breeders in his shop.

If you want to stay completely within your legal rights from your paperwork, follow OGEvilGenius' advice and place an order with MJ from Peakseedsbc. His kush lines are Hindu dominant, his sweet skunk is extremely nice if you like sativa's and his northern lights is world class. I just finished his Texeda Timewarp x NL and both pheno's are very pleasant...creeper sativa style. I've grown out the whole catalogue and his blueberry is also very good if that is your cup of tea. Don't be scared off by the difficult to germinate quote in the catalogue, they are robust flowers. After a bit of love the variegated leaves go away and the flower is normal. Very low nitrogen and stable environment provides you with a connoisseur bud.

My garden has pretty much only housed Sannie (and the team of breeders from his shop), Chimera and Peakseedsbc. Reliable breeders are worth their weight in gold, tossing pollen and selling hybrids is not for me. These lines have been worked and are representative of what is advertised and fully supported with great customer service.

Have fun in your gardens boys and girls :)

I had a look at Peakseedsbc website last night. His skunk crosses looked very interesting. I'm planing on starting small with a 4x4 so I was looking for a strain that would do well in a scrog style grow. Are Peakseedsbc seeds regular or do they have feminized ones too ?

Another one to consider for seeds, mostly regs but they have a couple of fems is Breeder's Boutique. Their regular prices are $42/USD per pack, but they typically send an extra pack of testers (strains they're developing but not released) for every pack you order. They have a standing 15% discount RIU, from time to time they'll do an RIU specific 50% off (just finished last weekend). They keep a thread going here, and excellent support besides some fire genetics at reasonable/low prices.

Hey buddy,

They are all regular seeds with excellent germination rates (almost 100%...it's odd when they don't open) and very stable lines that have been worked. I have had no problems with his plants that were not exclusively my fault for one reason or another hehe

Send him an email and he will guide you with advice as for what you want in your meds as well as how you grow them (soil or hydro etc...). He is a very friendly fella and has always been very honest and up front with me regarding my purchases and growing experiences.

Northern Skunk puts out a large large harvest of stinky old school bud. She is always a pleaser and will do very well in a scrog as she stretches like crazy and has a lot of internodes to pull up through the screen.

Good luck with your purchase and your grow!

I can't for the life of me find any mention in the acmpr regs posted on the gazette nor the justice websites that talk about how one must obtain starting materials.

There's plenty of documentation around how LPs are to provide them but no regulation saying patients or dgs have to buy them...

I suppose it's the same ole system. We can buy starting materials from LPs(or in the prior mmar the government) but we don't need documentation to prove that's where they came from. I don't really understand why the government took 6 months to come up with these regs... they just went through and replaced the terms mmar with acmpr...

THC biomed in BC is selling seeds, clones, and teens, all from a reputable wellknown breeder stock from The Netherlands. They do not sell dried flower only starting material. Give them a look.

Itsme.

reputable lol.. you mean one of the 5 dutch companies willing to fill out export paperwork. those reputable co's foaming at the mouth hoping for a piece of our pie. unfortunately their reputable genetics are generic and lacking the breadth of variety that already exists here in Canada. the reputable dutch breeders are mostly producing seed in Spain and morocco, and smuggling into Holland to package. these reputable seed guys are about as useful to most Canadians as buying garden seed from Florida. they're retarded for basing a million dollar startup on lame dutch seed. goes to show how cool they are.
