Plants don't need as much light to veg, you'd be surprised what can veg plants nicely.. LEDs are great and I will eventually change all my hids over to leds but its pricey... I'm going the diy led route when I can drop 10k on the cxb3590 and the new drivers but if I were you I'd hit craigslist and buy a couple cheap 1k watt lights and rip out a couple harvests n build a bankroll before you blow your load on leds..unless you have 10k sitting around now.

My advice is hit the led section and check out the diy journals and YouTube vids.. Lotta sharp dudes on this site and they are on the forefront of growing with the latest n greatest chips. There's like 5 or 6 members here who build quality lights for sale.

I use five 1k watt XXXl magnums..air cooled and cheap to purchase.. Big 5x5 footprint but 650$ month electric bill adds up quick but its all worth it after harvest..I wouldn't waste money on nutes or co2 ..not needed and I use jacks classic, 20$ lasts a year.

I might try Jacks classic, i just looked it up and for the price your right you cant beat it. Have any pics of plants youve used with it?

damn i just loomed up that jacks classic, ima give that a go next time around.. i just spent like 400 bucks on heavy 16 full line up and from what ive been reading about jacks ... i probably overspent about 350 ... havnt harvest yet but honestly between AN, bionicare, and now heavy 16 i dnt notice much of a difference... only product ive noticed a big difference with is great white, and the silica made a dif too i suppose

i veg sme monsters under flourecents, so i would go that route and spend more on flowering power

Just finished reading on here and google and seems the way to go (Jacks) only thing is im not sure if itll b good using in DWC or hydro or if u need a cal mag supplement or anything for the bloom cycle.
I spent like 50 on some starter kit to try different brands.

Yeah..I've been running jacks classic for 2 years and the bloom I use after 2-3 weeks in flower ..depending on strain..I've never posted a single pic of a plant in 8 plus years here but I been growing full time for a living since my back surgery 4 years ago... Trust me..the stuff is outstanding and can't be beat for the price..they make a hydro jacks fert...I've never tried it, I used floranova bloom start to finish when I ran hydro..I'm back in soil, I hated being a slave to the garden and my power goes out way too often ..I lost a couple plants n pulled the plug on hydro after the last power outage lasted 4 days...

I don't want to leave anybody out but the legit sharp led builders here are @Greengenes707
@Rahz @robincnn @captainmorgan @ttystikk ..please add anybody I'm forgetting.. Thanx tty!

Yeah, you over paid for bottles of watered down nutes. I tried 3 cannabis specific nute lines just to not see a damn bit of difference with Jacks Classic.

yup live and learn.. ill have enough to last me the year but next time around ima def give it a go, for what its worth heavy 16 in compairison to botanicare is making the plants a lot stinkier lol weight wise not much of a diff.

u guys still use microbes, silica and some sugars with the jacks or is it.like good to go all u need

Quality parts cost money, and labor ain't cheap..I don't work for free n don't expect anyone else to.. I'm so tired of replacing HPS bulbs and can't wait to ditch em..

I just heard that Philips discontinued my 860W CDM Allstart lamps!

So I'm even happier that I'm most of the way through my COB LED conversion!

every 2 weeks won't be easy your going to need a lot of plants going in different stages, I plan on doing it 1-2 months but that will still require alot unless you only want to cycle a few per that period it wouldn't be that big of deal.

what system do you think is easiest to keep clean and running

coco/pro-mix/fox with a drip system

DWC

ebb-n-flow (greentrees)

house work would be the worse part of full time.

How many plants for a harvest every 2 weeks do you figure?
