Hello a little background I'm 19 years old and was diagnosed with IBS (irritable bowel syndrome) a few years ago. Experimenting normally in high school I tried pot, then one day saw something online about using it medically so I tried it next time I had a attack. Since that day 3 years ago I stopped taking all pills and haven't gone one day without it. Pills would not give relief this quickly and with IBS an attack could be gone by the time it kicks in anyway. Side effects to the pills were unbearable and was losing lots of weight. Now I use marijuana to help cope on a day to day basis for years. I've never met anyone in my state (not legal) that has to deal with something like this especially at a young age. This sickness has held me back from a lot of regular "kid" activities and I've matured more quickly than others my age.
Now, my question is if I explained this to a doctor once I find an apartment in CO, do I meet the requirements? Also, how quickly can I obtain a card like I said haven't gone a day without it in years don't want to wait too long! I'm just scared because I'm 19 and just moving in state that I will not meet requirements or something?
Any help is appreciated I'm so desperate I'm looking to move to Denver in spring!
