I have a growbright lamp my friend gave me. it is from htg supply.
I need new bulbs for it but cannot find any cfls on htg and cannot find the same colors that he had in them.
any advice as to where to get new bulbs would be suuuuuper awesome.
I found various kinds on ebay and amazon but again none that match the colors that were previously in there.
I'm so new to this and have no idea about what i am doing. I second guess everything i do and purchase to the point of fault.
The lamp is 120-277v says to replace with PLL 55w. which i can find.
the bulbs are 3000k and 6400k which i cannot find.

I'll post pics of the items in question soon.

Thank you so much
g'day

Really??
I can only find 18w 6400k bulbs on amazon and there are no 6400k bulbs at superiorlighting
I found the 3000k on superiorlighting (<<I linked it to the page) and there is a black Friday sale for only 9.95 which is cool but still not 6400k that i could find.
I'm sorry lol I feel really retarded.

if you have grown before and I suspect you have
I'd be upgrading that light to something with more grunt
either a 400w digital Mh / hps or even led if you got the cash
current light is great for early veg and germing maybe a small mom too?

i typed in the 6400k number and it came up everywhere even htg. unless you just got to have that light, i would spend else where.

This is what I get when I look for CFLs on htg
And I found 18w 6400k on amazon.

this is how my dad must feel when he tries to use the internet.
And im sure you all feel like I do when I cannot understand how he doesn't get it.

I found 18w 6400k on amazon.

18 watts per tube is too weak, Hell! even a small cfl light bulb is at 23 watts
as for your 6400 kelvin, its extremely cool white great for leaves,
but bad for stalk growth unless matched by a 2700 kelvin, warm white bulb
better to ask your buddy why he discarded the light in the first place?

I agree 18w is way too low. The bulbs I am looking to replace were 55w each.
one of them was 6400k the other 3000k. only really going to be used for veg supplemental lighting and for seedlings.
I dont know why I am having so much trouble. Like I said maybe I'm just being stupid and need to figure it out on my own. hate wasting peoples time on my silliness.

I found 3000k 55w too on multiple sites. It's the 6400k 55w I can't find. I can only find 5000k 55w

The 5000k will work....fwiw,thats what I use because I can't find 6400k in a multi pack.I always get the 4/pk of 23w 5000k cfl bulbs from Wal-Mart.
