The idea of being here is NOT to pay for weed.
In Michigan, around my area it depends on who you are and where you go. If you want to play by the politicians rules, then you're going to pay more every time. My friend got her card, and wanted to pick up legally to "celebrate". I appreciate the sentiment, but it's a suckers bet. The dispensary or whatever its called this year, lol, wanted a "donation" of 60 for 3.5, 115$ for 7 g. and on up. I don't remember all the prices.
On the street, I'm seeing quarters go for 60-75, and it's all the same quality as in the stores.
I saw OG kush running at 15/g in the dispensary, but my girl had the same for 10/g. Medical marijuana cannot compete with street pricing. As a result, it will probably fail.

This is a stupid statement. If it's going to fail, explain the last 20 years pushing for it.Do you think this price difference just happened? I think there's more people out there that will pay that extra $5 to be legal then not. Oh, wait the mmj movement has proven this statement. I read where you guys in mmj states complain about stupid shit like this, forgetting that in a lot of states that gram will put you in jail. That is the reason mmj will not fail.

The med program here started in 08. Only a sucker would pay 115 for a quarter when they can get it with no paper trail for 65. It's just common sense about dollars and sense. Why expose yourself to the .gov like that after they regularly bust patients and providers while following the law?
Might as well not tell them what you are doing if they are going to bust you for it.

The mmj movement didn't start in Michigan but they adopted and voted for it knowing how it works every where else. The whole mmj program is about giving alternatives to rx drugs and etc..... California was in 96 so I'm off by 2 years, but point was they had it going for 12 years before your state voted it in. I have family in MI and they knew the price difference between street and disp. in other states when they voted.
Your other statement about them busting patients and providers is the real issue ! IMO, this is what ruins it, not the money. Most people that truly need mmj to eliminate buying other drugs are not going to complain over $5, I know my time is more valuable than chasing somebody down hoping they had a gram. I know by time I call my buddy, go see my buddy, get my stuff, and then go home at least an hour has passed. Then you still have the whole legal issue. OR On my way home from work I swing in the store grab a gram and go home. Come on, $5 really!

Ok, in Michigan, the voters got the weed thing going, to the dismay of a right wing government who fought the peoples right to petition as spitefully as they could. They still fuck it up. I was at Taco Bell a couple weeks ago, and watched Oakland County Sheriffs close a dispensary across the street. We would have been there at the time, but I had the munchies and hit up the Taco Bell first. This is how it is here, the leaders in a town dont want it, they shut it down, it's BS. Better to keep your head down I think, than risk letting the man know what you're doing. It seems easier just to get a card, and then just stay old school. It's safer and cheaper.

I just grow, no need for a dispensary personally, I was sticking up for others who shouldn't be paying the prices and taking the risks they do.
I used to support medipot too, but I got tired of getting ripped off.
The black market was there first, that's the competition. Legal or illegal, money talks and if the .gov wants to compete with people who have been doing this professionally for decades, they maybe need to shut up, listen, and get a clue.

i heard weed was really expensive in new york, wow, a over crowded shit hole with a high murder rate, burglery rate and rape rate AND the weed is expensive. I wouldn't be able to live in a big city like that, air aint fresh, noisy, dirty, everything is grey. I'd literately go crazy, livin out here in a rural town where its beautiful n all. there aint nuttin like waking up on a sunny day with the birds chirping, walking out and taking a breath of fresh air out by the water side.
