Looking for help with a cloning device for 20 clones

Hello Everyone,

I still have about 3 months before I am going to be able to clone but I want to get everything purchased or built in advance.
I am going to be cloning using Aloe Vera but I am looking for a device or system where I could put the 20 clones into and have them succeed.

Can anyone lend me some guidance on this matter?

Not as handy as I would like to say I am. Also don't have many tools so was thinking for $185 CANADIAN shipped I could go with.

Some brands you can look at are EZ clone, TurboKlone, power cloner, super sprouter aqua clone, oxyclone and clone King. They all come in very different prices. Personally I just use a normal dome keep the humidity high, the tray warm and use rockwool

What will the clones be going into? Rapid rooters or cups with dirt are easy. A simple bubble cloner can be made from a Tupperware container. If you can take extra clones to compensate for losses , a bowl of water works, change out the water every other day, just kinda slow.

I've been thinking the same thing.... I decided to build my own.. this is wut I come upwith... tupperware container .. pool noodle, air pump/stones,and a fish tank aquarium. It took me 2 hrs to build. Gonna fill it up today and see what it produces. lol
From what I read,,, temp, and humidity is most important,,so Ill be getting a dig thermometer today for it.
Total it cost me about 20 buks ( already had old air pump and heater from our fishtank days )..

Mine is an investment but had amazing reviews and if it makes my attempts more successful then $185 is absolutely nothing in my mind.

Maybe I am just old school but I been doing cuttings the same way since the beginning....I typically only need 12-30 cutting depending on what I am running and how I want to do that crop...But in an event, 36 cuttings can fit under a 4ft flourescent fixture...I simple us 8 oz styro coffee cups with 4 holes popped in the sides at the bottom with a pencil (or similar)....50/50 mix perlite to vermiculite...that also is good grow medium but at a ratio with much higher perlite to verm...cutting like it wetter so 50/50 is best...these go into a typical 1ft by 2ft moulded plastic starter trays...2 trays fit nicely lengthwise under a 4ft fixture...I put a clear solo cup on each cutting which has a half dollar size hole in the bottom (which is the top when its on the styro cup)..your cuttings just need an increased humidity but critical not to have it 'raining' inside...it will promptly rot off your grow tip...I scrape the area of the cutting going in the medium with a razor on a 90° angle and dust with a POWDER...scraping is a NICE TRICK for rapid callusing of the stem...COOL WHITE is by far the best bulbs for starting cuttings, and also very common...I have tried them all and CW rocks...each tray can hold 6 row of 3 cups (18 total)...just prewet cup with a very weak flower formula, and keep about btwn a half in and 1 inch of water in the trays till they root...rooting typically 10 days...soon as they root, get the lids off...then allow the water to get down to a damp tray bottom b4 rewatering.....this is not any type of BS when I tell you I cant ever remember losing a cutting like this...I started growing hydroponically in 1981 and with a cpl years of trial and error, thisnis my method and STILL IS...a floro fixture with bulbs is maybe $20 tops, maybe 2 dollars worth of mix and another $7 bucks or so for cups...Cheap and VERY EFFECTIVE...regards..YT

For the light I'm using 4 x philips LED 5000k light bulbs for 6 seedlings at moment.
DO you feel t5 works better as I heard this was the way to go and no heat.

I've said it before, ill say it again: Clone king. Buy a 36-site but only put 18 cuttings in it. (In your case you could put 20 in if you wanted to). They are expensive (~$80), but they last.

Looking forward to it arrives - says before April 10th and my bday is April 11th so that will be a nice present for myself LOL

Awesome. I use straight well water (no pH adjustment or nutrients), but I do dip each cutting in clonex and do some light scoring with a razor blade on the lower part of the stem.

You're welcome. If cloning costs more than 20 bones and takes more than an hour to setup and cleanup,,, well, somethings got to give.

Anyone using a clone machine that cannot produce basic clones....well, I bet their first batch on the machine comes through REAL nice. But the maintenance of pumps and parts, cleanliness, etc will eventually set you back.

Master the art of cloning and THEN use a machine to speed up the process/mass produce them. Otherwise have fun spending your hard earned money on something you'll eventually want to blow up(snack money yo). If you do buy a cloner, get a Turbo Clone

It arrived today but haven't had a chance to do anything yet.
I won't be cloning for another 4 months around so I might try to clone our money tree that we have
