Would like to dip my toes in growing mushrooms out here on the homestead, mostly after edibles for food and trade. Any beginner PF-tek links out there? Looking for substrate recipes and guides trying to do my homework. Thank you for all the help.

Look the best thing you could do is make CL with honey get a small clear container with about 1 square foot in the bottom simmer wbs for 30 mins to soften up the seed and make sure it won't grow. make sure to get the kind with no sunflower seeds and if it has it sift it with a colander and rinse really really good with cold water. Once the seed is done cooking rinse really good with cold water in a 5gal bucket or a wire mesh strainer. Lay on a clean towel for 25 mins until sticky moist wipe out ur jars with 90% rubbing alcohol and put enough vermiculite in the bottom of the jar to cover it a quarter inch then load your cooked wbs in ur jars to only the 600ml or 300ml depending on what jars you use this way you can break up the wbs easy, now put the lids on and don't screw them shut, just enough to get stem in and water out. Pc it at 15psi for 1 1/2 hours let sit for at least 8 hours do not try to noc them up earlier or you cold kill your LC or spores when you are done and in a Month or 2 when they are all white break them up and put them in your container one 600ml per square foot then add presser cooked vermiculite that has been cooled so it about half and half then layer a thin layer of dry virm on top to help keep from getting mold and in 2 weeks you should see pins only one flush will come of this but it's vary easy and space saving if you just stack small containers up in you closet.

Cambodians, golden teachers, gulf coast.... they are all.P.Cubensis, they all grow under the same conditions. The exception to this is the Cubensis mutant called penis envy, and that grows under basically the same.conditions.just takes way longer

Well actually if you want a good FC just get 66qt tote weather strip the lid buy a mini pond fogger and an air pump put a hole in the top and one on the opposite end at the bottom now put it on a timer and you can put trays in it and you will never need to touch it till you harvest just clean out once a month

I love that FC I use to do mono tubs big ones and a lot of them I got sick of having 3 out of 6 some times more mold on me this one I never had mold except for the one time I forgot about a tray for 3 months it was crazy in there I had mushrooms an inch thick and over 13 inches long that was crazy lol

In my experience cakes fucking suck the biggest shroom balls on the planet. Sgfc is one of the worst by far specially for beginners that put too many holes in it and dry their cakes out so they only get one or two shrooms a cake. Just do bulk like he said and no holes just fan 3x daily if you can't fan build that automatic FC I just posted.

Naw. Once every 12 hours. Only dumbasses screw it up. Sgfc is easy, and only $7 investment. Alot better for this guy if he's just doin cakes. And then never grows again.

I wS thinking of using these 5x6" or slightly bigger Weber grill drip tray... Fit 4 in a automatic tote on timers so I can just sit and watch...
