Yes, fuck water baths with an aluminum softball bat..lol
I moved on to sand, straight griddle works okay, but if you get a deep dish griddle, and fill it with reptile sand, then snugly fit your chamber into the sand, and pack the sand around the walls of your chamber.
Sand conducts heat in a remarkable way, and provides very consistent and more importantly EVEN heat.
Straight griddles have a coil element that radiates heat outward from the actual element, this design ultimately causes ” hot and cold spots”, this could lead to vertical heating (uneven) , the introduction of steam (from a water bath) and uneven heating, most often causes nucleation points, which in fact do contain H2o molecules.
