Long veg after monster cropping. Win or lose?

So I got some monster cropped clones that were sick and full of mites a couple months ago. These are outdoor plants. Got the bugs under control and took some time to get them back on track and wondering if there will really be any increase in yield over a regular clone or seed. Initially, the growth was crazy and internodes were super tight with branches going everywhere. Now that they’ve had a chance to get back to normal growth, I just don’t see how this technique yields better than another plant that was trained with topping and/or LST. You can see in the pics how ‘bushy’ the monster cropped plants are vs the seeded plant. Thing is, the longer I go with these, the more space the internode distance becomes. Unless you’re into flipping them once they reveg, what’s the point of doing this for an outdoor or long indoor veg....

First pic is the plant from seed. Still have another 6 weeks before they flower outdoors. If I top one or two more times then I’m sure I’ll get a similar yield with my seed plant, genetics aside, and you won’t be able to tell the difference.
