I still run 1K hps and a 400w Merc vapor below the hood glass in bloom........I need the oompah for my tall plants. That covers UVB and the blue/deep blues for better spectrum balance in bloom.
Veg. I'm really looking to up grade - Maybe even next month........CDMH is winning the race there - so far.....LED is progressing so fast....but again, height is the key and the T5's I run now are weak at height. I got a 1K MH but need another to foot print plant counts. Running about 1.4K less in elec. and far less heat out put in that room is the secondary goal. Improved performance is the real one.
