Evening,

my seeds finally came in, northern light standard (non femmed).

2 days ago, i germed them using the papertowel/ziploc method, one already sprouted their radicle, so i threw her in a dixie cup under the lights.

So far, here is my plan.

8x 5000-5000k 60w equiv. cfl's for vegging, (4-5 weeks)
8-12x 2300-2700k cfls for flowering
soil medium:
MG African Violet Soil
Spaghnum Peat moss
Perlite

Using an old cupboard/dresser thing as the container, couple of light leaks, however some silicon+electrical tape(a lot) is helping, im waiting for the silicon to cure to see if i still have leaking issues...

This is a very stealth grow, my gf and I are doing it together, no one else in the house would know, i'm anxious to see how my usage of the cfl's will affect the utility bill, however with autumn here, a usage increase in utilities is to be expected, so we'll see.

Enough of the intro, here are my pics. lol.

Any pointers/advice/criticism; appreciated.

2nd seed successfully germed as well, siginificantly longer root than the first one, planted in a small plastic pot.
However, running into heating problems, hit 28-32C in my box earlier, cooling is necessary. tomorrow i'll be looking at two new pc fans, as i've fried the two i had laying around tonight in an attemp to wire them up. do you leave the yellow wire by itself? or wrap it with osmething else? i keep popping fuses and smelling burnt plastic, any help would be appreciated.

2 days ago, my other seed germed (4 days behind the dixie cup seed) it was placed in a small starter pot, and today i have this:

a lil sprout! i may be overreacting, but i am excited.

however my first seed is still in the dixie cup, nothing new yet. so we'll see what happens.

38-40% relative hu.
