long time grower 1st time with led need info please...plus grow thread 280w blackstar

Hello y'all so I just found a killer deal on a 240 watt blackstar led light on criagslist I guess it was an owner of a med club that got shut down so he had 24 of them for sale for only 150 bucks so I got one now from what I've heard ya gotta change up the way u grow for an led light vs a hps. So my question is what's different about growing under a led? Right now I have new lil clones in a dwc set up plus I have some lil seedlings in dirt they are in my 2x3 tent and I also have a 4 bulb 4ft t5 panel along the backside of the tent. How far away should the led be from the babys I was told by one person u can have it as close to 6 inches then another person said to have it 30 inches away so the light can.blend together... also someone said with leds u should run ur ph at 5.0 but I'm use to 5.5-6.0... so yeah there are all these he said she said crap and I just need some real answers. Any help would be appreciated. Hell I might as well make this a grow thread so here's the start to a grow tread and any help...

Number one killer for new led growers is always overwatering........tends to dry out waay slower under leds.
lighting height is tricky depends on your model/age of diodes/etc.....play around with it see what happens(no less than 5inch from canopy w black240)
soil and hydro ph......I wouldn't change what worked for you in the past under traditional lighting.....good luck

Ok maybe I should let y'all know how I'm growing its my own custom DWCDRIP SYSTEM I made from homedepot for only 30 bucks minus the water pump anywho the net pots are about a foot above the rez water line but still in the rez itself. A water pump pumps up the water into a drip distributor that splits it 6 ways to the 6 net pots and then the water trickles back down into the rez threw the hydromite once the root are long enough they eventually will reach the rez water and become a DWCDRIP system. This system works bad ass and is very cheap to make I can help anyone out who would like to make one but the pictures should be all you need. I will post the pics up in a separate post seeing how this is the 4th fuckn time I've wrote this and everytime the damn server timed out I'm thinking it was because the pics so I'm getting this up first then will work on the pics...

After several years of research and releasing new, improved models, LED grow lights have established a firm foot hold in the grow light market, proving themselves as much more than a fad gadget. Current iterations of LED grow lights can go head-to-head against their HID counterparts, matching (and in some cases, exceeding) the yields and grow quality.

So here are some updated pics things have been going great with this grow so far...knock on wood.... things I've done to improve my hydro system was I got a fish tank water heater and wow that's made these girls grow twice as fast as my last grow when I didn't have one. Plus because I had a root rot problem last time I started using bushmaster zone and well that's about it stay tuned for more updates as they get closer to the flower stage...
