Long overdue trichomes - scared!

2nd run in new room. Legal, licensed grow. Been growing for 5 years.

I’m @ week 7 of flower. Until perhaps 4 days ago, I had virtually zero trichomes in any of the five (3 strains: Blue Dream, Sweet Black Angel and one Snow White plant. Thank god trichs are starting to appear, but not fully developed, let alone milky / opaque. I’ve been planning on harvesting about 2 -3 week’s from now, and otherwise the plants and flowers look pretty good. Pretty on target for harvest. Pistols are thick & starting to turn from white to amber.

Soil grow in 5 gallon plastic pots of FF Ocean Forest, hand fed using 3 part General Hydroponics In properly PH’d water.

I’ve never seen trichs develop so super late in flowered plants. Hoping they fully develop pronto. All 5 are growing under one 1,000watt HPS / eye hortilux. Temps 75-83 Deg F, humidity 55-62%. 1200 ppm co2.

It’s encouraging that trich development has finally started & the small pin bumps on sugar & even fan leaves suggests that ultimately there may be many trichs. Emphasis on “may.”

As the problem is consistent across 3 established strains, I don’t see genetics being an issue here.

I will within days be encorporating uvb 0.10, which is often accepted as encouraging trich production.

Any thoughts or observations? A crop failure would be painful at this point. Usually I see trichs within weeks of 12/12.
