Long cure

I have a jar of flower which is approximately six months old curing now. It has been sitting in regular room light, no direct sun.

The flowers are turning from a deep dark greenish purple hue to completely white. It doesn't look like mold (although it could be) but I've never seen anything like it. The bud looks completely normal besides the color. No webbing or anything indicative of mold besides the smell.

It is bio diesel from 303 seeds and was definitely that chemmy smell all along but now it smells a bit like ammonia, which scares me a bit.

I know my trim job is lazy, who cares when I'm not moving any of it? Let me know what you guys think could've caused this color!

personally, I'd be done with it. It doesn't look healthy... Ammonia? Eww.. My nose is burning a little bit.

Any other thoughts?

It could have gotten sun bleached I guess. If I can't find am answer I'm just going to toss it but I really don't want to, this shit did me right.

I've been smoking for 10 years and I've never seen anything like this.

I've been smoking/vaping a whole lot longer than you and I've never seen or heard of this either. Properly cured & stored cannabis will turn brown after a year or so, but not white, and definitely will not have an ammonia smell.

You can do whatever you want with it, but....personally, I'd throw it away. In the future keep your cured cannabis in a cool, DARK, place.

Looks like sun bleaching to me... You should keep it in dark next time even though there isn't direct sunlight still a good idea I mean shit even throw the jar in a sock. No idea on the ammonia smell I wouldn't personally smoke it but that's up to you man

Only time ive seen "bleaching" is when your getting bud rot, on bigger buds inside loses color, hairs shrivel and brown, looks all funky. with a foul odor..

this is what happens when you dont keep your weed in a cool dark place. im 95% sure it was caused by the light because i saw a video on weed maps where they had buds in the lights and far away from lights

I've got a few buds of different strains about 7 months old. They've mostly turned brown/tan but still smell and smoke just fine. I just tried some Jamaican Dream this morning that I jarred last November. Easy to remember why it was my daily driver for months. Conversely, I had one jar of the JD go south on me pretty fast and it's exactly like you said. It's not fuzzy, but it smells a little like old gym socks. Something's not right with it but I still have it jarred. It's not gotten any worse over time. I kept it in case I get hard up and need to qwiso it or something.
That's the only jar that hasn't been perfect so I don't have anything else to compare it with.
Maybe you can use your for qwiso or something. I wouldn't smoke it as is, probably tastes funky like it smells.

the ammonia smell hints at fermentation of a flower, kinda like if you were to improperly dry right after harvest, not saying that what happened at all. Just an example. The looks, hell who knows. Probably toss it to be safe like the others said.

I get alot of Mexican brick weed that smells like amonia, if you let it air out for a day or so most of that goes away. But its usually pretty good stuff for brick weed
