what's up I live in northern nevada, south of carson city, I got some questions

I'm in the process of getting my legal nevada medical card, waiting on there decision of yes or no, they say I got all of the legal rights until then. I'm looking for work in a machine shop and they want to drug test you,so you can be hired, I can pass there test no problems, but what happens after you are hired and if you get injured and have to piss test, or if they do randoms, do I get screwed and loose the job and health insurance, or do I have to disclose the fact that I have a medical card before hand, I try to self medicate as much as I can, but not at work or before work, only after work in the privacy of my own home. can any one please answer these questions, or do need to contact a lawyer or some state agency that can answer my questions, I need a job bad, need cash to continue to grow and medicate, I thank you for input and info you can give me peace

Having a medical card does NOT protect you from being fired if your employer does drug tests. They can legally fire you if you fail they test if they chose to.

This does not mean they won't try to accomodate you though. It just depends on how strongly they feel towards it. I have a feeling since it's a machine shop, they won't make any exceptions though, because it's a huge liability for them if you are involved in an accident, and they later find out that you smoked that day.

Exactly, the Medical system provides NO job protection for use of your medicine.

4) Do I have to tell my landlord that I am a patient in the NMMP? Can my landlord evict me if I am a patient in the NMMP and have my grow site in my rental housing? Can I live in subsidized housing and be a patient in the NMMP?

It is up to you to decide whether or not to tell your landlord that you are a patient in the NMMP. Nothing in NRS 453A specifically addresses whether or not you can be evicted because you are a patient in the NMMP, even if you have only the amount of medical marijuana allowed by law. Nothing in NMMP laws specifically addresses whether or not a person can be an NMMP patient and live in subsidized housing. If you have questions about these important issues, the NMMP recommends you talk to an attorney to learn about your rights and protections.

10) What should I tell my employer if I am subjected to a drug test?

The Nevada Medical marijuana Act states that employers are not required to accommodate employees who use medical marijuana. You may wish to consult an attorney about whether or not to tell your employer that you are a patient in the NMMP. A patient may contact the NMMP in writing to ask the Program to release information about the patient’s registration to an employer.
