Littlebat's '09 outdoor Querkle/Conquistador grow

Hey there, Sub and the gang! Just thought I'd post some pics of this year's grow. The first two pics are Querkle started in early May, the third is my month-old Conquistador, and the fourth is one of Seamaiden's big, stinky mystery plants, if she's still around!

These guys are getting worm castings for fertilizer, and all their water thus far has come from Mother Nature -- it's been rainy here this summer! I'd love any suggestions on a flowering fertilizer to increase bud density; last year my buds came out poofy and I'm not sure why. (Could it be that they dried too fast? I don't control the heat in my building, and my landlord has a habit of turning it on too soon and too hot.)

I'll post more pics as they grow. Yay Querkle! Yay Conquistador! Thank you Sub! :blsmoke:

BTW, I just wanted to add, to anyone considering Subcool's seeds, that they're amazing. I did a cab grow back in the winter of Querkle and Jillybean (Querkle came out great but I burned my Jillybean with the lights; I'm just doing the Querkle and one Conquistador now so I get more of a handle on how to grow them outdoors.) Not one seed took longer than 36 hours to germ in paper towels (most in 24), and the female to male ratio is outstanding (I've found it to be about 4:1.) His stuff is killer, great fun to grow, and delicious!! The Querkle really does smell like grape. He gives exactly what he promises!

Hey LB. I thought you were gone from here since I haven't seen you post for awhile. Plants are looking nice on your outdoor grow. Hope the connie comes through for you this year. I have a Jack the Ripper going with some other strains if you want to check out my journal. Keep us posted. :blsmoke:

Hi GT! So, my plants have all shown sex now, and unfortunately enough, all my Subcool seeds were male! (Two Querkles & a Connie.) I got a lot of male Connies overall, which is not Subcool's fault; they came from a friend of a friend so I can't be as sure of their genetics as the others. Having both Querkles be male was quite unusual; overall Sub's seeds have given me an abundance of females. Ah well -- guess what I've got? THREE females of Seamaiden's mystery seeds! Those things are so stinky, and tall like sativas. Can't wait!
