I am glad that some people out there that understand working together might be better for us. Sharing the watering hole isn't always a bad thing because everyone has something a little different. We are all on different schedules too, but I have such nervousness to vend to collectives other than the one I was running for a while. But when I do go there they wanna low ball me to holy hell :(. I have tried other places but they all want me to drop it off for a few weeks and I just don't trust people on first meeting.

IDK im stoned, and I think that us growers need to unite!

Granny Purps in Capitola / santa Cruz has a very bad reputation for not paying vendors now. Word around the campfire is they owe over 500K to vendors. New vendors go in and get paid on time a few times then when they bring in large amounts they just say sorry business has been slow. There is even a review from a dying cancer patient who hasn't gotten paid at all in over 4 months. I have heard of others not getting paid in over a year.

Great thread, all this talk of shitty dispenceries has got me wanting to name one good one that I wish never closed down (6 times lol).
Granddaddy purp in richmond was legit.. These guys always paid top dollar, never tried to lowball me and always paid in cash.. Why they can't keep there doors open I will never know..
Right next to them is Green Remedy and these guys are some cool folks, but damn they are cheep. I took them some of my best stuff ever one time and they tried to offer me 2,400 I was like are you serious? I said bring me your best top shelf bud and if it's better than mine it's a deal.. No contest so I walked.
I just don't get it. Why would these clubs sell booboo over quality? I have seen many clubs loose business because of poor selection but still they will not buy quality???

Because they charge the same thing they would for real top shelf bud.

List of dispensaries that have paid me within a 2 month period:
Harborside - Oakland
Purple Heart - Oakland
Oakland Organics -Oakland
Berkeley Patient's Group - Berkeley
SPARC -SF
Apothecarium -SF
The Green Door - SF

Clubs that have owed me for more than 2 months makijng measly payments of 200 or less every blue moon or not willing to pay me back:
Waterfall Wellness - SF [Deal: 2,300 on consignment] Have gotten paid $150 in 7 months. First and only payment I got so far was 2 weeks after the drop off.
Green Cross - SF [Deal: 2,700 on consignment] Refused to pay a dime for 8 months and one of the employees said my product was sold out in 3 days. Got into a very, very heated dispute with the owner and admist the argument another grower that got scammed came in and after an ahour and a half dispute, got my money back in full, snatched a jar of some bullshit "top shelf" and left. Call me an asshole for this, but because of their malpractices, I was late on rent.
This is a continuation from my last post...
All of the dispensaries who have been previously listed for timely payment has remained this way.
More that have paid within a 2 month period:
Purple Star - SF (Mission District) [Will not pay as much as others, but pays on time]
Shambhala - SF (Mission District) [Will buy for a bit more than Purple Star, but are a bit shaky with payments. They will pay you back in full, but a little later than the agreed dates.]
MediCann - SF [Always on time. Will usually pay you back within a week]
Love Shack - SF
Magnolia Wellness - Oakland [Very nice people and ALWAYS on time.]

Have not dealt with any other shitty clubs as of yet. I have heard rumors, but I refuse to bad-mouth a business that I have not had problems with personally.

damn, so that's three in santa cruz alone.
Makes me happy that I don't vend here.
Sadly the blackmarket is the way to go. Hands down, plus you don't have to worry about getting into somebody's "books" for tax reasons....

Reading about these shady ass "dispensaries" selling low-grade buds as top shelf fire, all while ripping off/not paying the growers is one of the biggest reasons I grow my own.

This is some great info to know. I have never vended before, not even sure how to go about doing it, but would love to find out. Honestly, I wouldn't care getting a donation of just my expenses for electric, nutes ect.

Does anyone know if say I had, I dunno, an extra 8oz overage of indoor hydro Larry og that's pretty good, would $800 be too much to ask for? I don't know how far off base I am, I've read the thread and it seems anywhere from a 1000-3800 an lb for vendors.. Do clubs even take anything less than an lb? Any helping info would be awesome.

3800 for vendors? I dont think you can find anything that high in cali. You might be able to get 3k for some primo indoor.

Yeah I thought 3800 sounded wicked high too, I read it somewhere about a gsc strain from a few months back saying people were getting 3800 for it. I was thinking holy shit that's a lot lol. 3000 would be pretty damn good though since it does take a lot of time and my electric bill sucks recently, damn hps light heats up my house causing the central ac to run a lot and it's 100 plus degrees out everyday here.

Would 1800-2200 lb be an achievable goal? I don't want to get ripped off but I know the clubs need to make money too. I'd just like to be able to recoup some expenses pretty much so low ball prices wouldn't bother me as long as it's more than 1500. I wouldn't even think about taking less than that because I'd just keep it all for myself :p

We only get 2500 for our fire these days, from a few dif clubs in the bay area. It's getting so fucking lame. Shoot for at least 2400 if its good shit. If you go too low, you end up fucking yourself and others. It's gotten a little better lately.
Btw...i love that quote in your sig! Thats me! Lol. I sure wish i could make their show, while they're playing somewhat nearby:-( I saw them in Chico a little while back.

2400 would be legit, I could handle that. It's definitely crazy how low prices gotten over time , hopfully they keep going back up because if it wasn't for regular people growing the fire, they wouldn't have a business in the first place. And being a gardener isn't a desk job, it's hard damn work making sure everything is going smooth and there is no clock in clock out times, it's a always on call job.

Slightly stoopid is awesome, love those guys. Im pretty close to Chico, I visit there at least every month, it's a cool little college town for sure!

yup! 8 lights in the 90's you could go to Hawaii every other month. 8 lights nowadays, you might be able to afford the drive to tahoe every other month! lol
Chico is alright I guess. I'm glad I live above it though. As you basically can't grow outdoor there or Paradise. Stupid I tell ya!

North La Brea Collective in Los Angeles...they have some the most consistently crappy customer service and products in Los Angeles. Every time I go there, there's thug security guards, who have the worst attitudes and pretty much treat the customers like shit. The budtenders always rush you to make a decision and despite their "free joint" giveaways (old swag weed), they still manage to take the cake as having the worst service out of any dispensary that I've been to in LA. (This feels like a Yelp Review)

I really wish I had read this before vending to them, I feel like a chump but I hope others will learn from my mistake and stay far away from them.

This is what actually happened to my partner and I when we sold our medicine to Granny Purps in Capitola on 8/02/14:
At the very beginning of August 2014, My partner and I sold our medicinal grade flowers to the actual owner of this club in good faith. We agreed to a price, a due date of August 21st (which was a few weeks away), and shook on it. I even remember the smile on his face as we dumped my medicinal flower (with all those hours of hard work and resources) into his bags. But sadly it was just too easy. I walked out with a signed receipt, a promise to pay, and a handshake. I then contacted the bookkeeper/controller several days later, and then started the run around. A few weeks now had changed to Net 45 (full payment would be due in 45 days). That new due date had passed a couple of weeks ago. It is now 2 months since that faithful day, and I’ve only received partial payment (about a third of the agreed to amount) with no more returned calls. I have called everyday for a week, left messages, and no one calls me back. They said they would call me when the payments were ready for pick up, I think its just stalling tactics. When I call the club to follow up, I get put on hold or told there is no payment for me. According to this site, my product isn’t offered anymore at Granny Purps, they must have sold it and made their money. But have neglected to pay the grower (medicine supplier) or skipped out and decided to not pay anymore what is due.

I strongly warn anyone who wants to vend or sell their product to this Granny Purps in Capitola to look elsewhere.
I do not believe they deal honorably or are worth risking your hard work, hours of dedication, and $ resources.
