For one plant is a 42/150w cfl light enough for veg. stage?I know mh and hps are the best lamps to use but there expesive. I plan to grow more plants after I see I can grow 1. Should I switch to HID lighing i n the near future? And if so where would be the bestplace to get a cheap one and which wattage should i choose?

wattage depends on square footage and number of plants.

MH should be used during veg / HPS during flower....idealy both at the same time.

Yes for one plant a 150 watter will work...although not well. If your avatar is a pic of your plant with one...theres your answer!

yeah i took that right after I transplanted it. It was quite perky before i transplated it and right after i did i put it under cfl lighting. I grew it under a 15w flor. tube and for that i think i did pretty good. My grow space is the size of a closet.
